If were going to break the bank for anyone we need a genuinley skilled youngster who can grow with the club. Someone like Podolski or Sergio Aguero.

Nice array of goals, header and smashers, I think if we can get him for £10m - £12m it's be a good deal but I would like to see us get Aguero too

Some nice goals there but I have my doubts. Reminds me of the compliation I saw before we signed Cisse. A complilation can make anyone look good. I think this World Cup will be a good test to see how good he really is as he is largely untested against good opposition outside the Dutch league. And I would hate to see another 14Mil wasted on another foriegn player.

I also read today that the club Liverpool are using as a feeder club in Ghana Ashburtongold will be playing a friendly against Feyenoord. I wonder if any of our boys will be at that match. :D

Why do people associate Kuty with Cisse and Kezman?
He doesnt play like either of them, he doesnt change his hairstyle every day.
He is an excellent player he is nothing like the fore mentioned.
He scores goals he contributes to the team overall.
People are dismissing him cause he's dutch he's nothing like Robben or Van horse, he is like a blonde Fowler.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Kano has a good point, a compliation video can even make Titus Bramble look like a class player. And he wasn't saying that Kuyt was the same player as Cisse, he was commenting on the fact that a compliation video is merely a small indication of someone's talent, it can't be used to judge the player's overall ability.

He is also right about the World Cup it will give the people who haven't seen him/ or have seen little of him the chance to see him play.

I take it you've watched Kuyt a lot then? If you have I'll take your word for it. Although comparing God to anyone else is just unforgivable blasphemy. :no

There will never be a nother strker for Liverpool FC like GOD.

But as far as Kuyt goes. I watch Eurogoals week in week out whioch is just a round up of goals from different leagues around Europe. Good points for Juyt are that he is consistent and he seems to put away some of the Chances that we have seen Cisse fluff.

Having said that he looks more physically dominating than Cisse but before I was merely making the point that becasue he is only known within the confines of the Eredivise we have no idea how good or bad he is capable of performing against other more competitive teams.

Similarly when I saw a few Cisse compilation before he came I though "wow this guy scores for fun" but we all know how his final compilation really turned out.  :D

And I think if Rafa is going to gamble £14Mil on him its best that we see how he performs in the World Cup against many players that he may face week in week out in the Premiership.

My personal opinon is that I dont rate him as good as a striker as his fellow countrymen Van Nistelrooy. I hate horseface with a vengence but he has a killer instinct for goal (of a fraction similar to our GOD) which I dont see Kuyt push enough in his game. Other Dutch players with this insitinct are of course Hassalbaink.

I think for that money there are better people that we could invest in, homegrown talents.

didn't really see much of his passing ability, skills or left foot in that compilation video. Although he seems to be a good finisher and positions himself well, a real box player.

I think if people want a true reflection of a players striking ability aside from a goal compilation there should be a compilation showing the misses aswell. LOL Cisses would be longer than his goal one thats for sure. :D

Also Feyenoord striker Salomon Kalou has arrived in the UK for transfer talks with Chelsea today.

If Kalou leaves Feyenoord that will leave them with limited options in attack so you'd have to question whether Dirk Kuyt would be allowed to leave, unless of course they have other options lined up and gettin 2main strikers in befoe the world cup would be tough.

The last two seasons that horseface was in the Dutch league Kuyt outscored him easily

Can't see us getting him before the world cup (if at all). If he goes to the world cup and does well his price will rocket and he will be priced out of our range!! I am getting a bit frustrated again. We were supposed to have our targets sorted out and tied up before the world cup. Now we are going to have another summer like last year!!

Unless, of course, Rafa has been doing his dealings on the quiet and does actually have the likes of Kuyt, Alves, Aurelio etc tied up. We live in hope!!
