Kuyt

Liverpool Football Club - The Rumour Mill

Postby tubby » Sat May 27, 2006 11:09 am

Two Liverpool FC coaches are currently in Obuasi in Ghana looking at the facilities of local team AshantiGold FC, with a view to helping out the club ... which is nice.

However, more interesting news has filtered through that AshGold will be playing a friendly with - yep, you've guessed it - Feyenoord at the Len City Stadium. Our two chaps will be in attendance. Now what do you think our guys and the Feyenoord fella's will talk about? The price of mango's?

Now, of course this is conjecture, but as coincidences go, it's right up there with Asley Cole just happening to be in that restaurant with Peter 'indiscreet' Kenyon.

Kuyt to Anfield - might just be a step closer to happening.

Kalou is going to chelsea meaning Feynoord could be losing 2 main strikers.  If I was them i wouldnt sell Kuyt no Kalou is going.  Chelsea have Kalou and Shevchenko.  Man thats one dope strikeforce.

I've must confess i've not seen much of Kuyt, he looks a big lad though and as someone else has just mentioned, will him & Crouch fit?  Anyone got any footage of Kuyt?

Looks like a good player from that footage Saint. I've only see clips of the lad so it was good to see a several minutes of footage in one go. Reminds me a bit of Fowler from that vid. Not the quickest (or the slowest) and looks like a very natural finisher who isn't afraid to hit an early shot from outside the box. He also looks like a strong player who could lead the line or play up on his own.

Need to move before the World Cup starts though.

Thanks for the goals highlights StMichael, he reminds me of Roger Hunt. Very similar playing style. Looks a lot better in the clips than when I watched him in full games. I am still not 100% convinced he is the answer but as I cant think of anyone better for the money..........

Why bizarre? He is very rightfooted and powerful shot same as Roger Hunt, red/blond hair and looks similar to roger hunt and to me anyway seems similar in style.

Yeah we do because if he has a decent campaign with Holland his price tag will go thru the roof. And I doubt we can afford to pay in the region of £20million for a striker and I can't see Rafa shelling out that much. If that's the case he'll end up at a club like Newcastle.

Owen and Kuyt, now there's a striker partnership that I'd like to see.

I wasn't too impressed by many of his goals.  On some occassions the goalie just made horrendous errors.  I think if he came to the EPL you could chalk 8-10 goals off of his season total.  On the other hand I think he could play very well, and will probably get much better as he adjusts to the higher level of competition.  So i think we should buy him, just not break the bank for him

I know that he did say recently that right now he is only interestd in "Oranj". And that his future would have to wait until after the WC. But things can change from day to day.

A few fortunate goals like all strikers get but some genuinely nice finishing on display there.

In terms of his appearance, the lad rather reminds me of Teddy Sherringham.

Oh, and special mention needs to be made of the music.  Presumably that's the Feyenord club anthem but was that Tom Jones singing it?  Have another listen and tell me it doesn't sound like the Welsh lethario has learned some Dutch!

If were going to break the bank for anyone we need a genuinley skilled youngster who can grow with the club. Someone like Podolski or Sergio Aguero.
