less than 5 games? Do you actually watch Liverpool matches? If you say he played less than 5 games then I dont even think you saw them when Cisse played. He played 23 matches last season. 15 on the league only scoring four goals (with no impressive displays) and 8 games in europe scoring one goal (once again, nothing impressive). He was not good enough before he broke his leg, he is not good enough now. Hope he has a good world cup so Rafa can sell him at a good price.

Statistics don't really tell the whole story. The side is much better without Cisse in it. He is truly sh!te. One of the worst footballers in the premierleague by my standards.

Come on !! 1st season Cisse only played less than 5 games, after that he got injure. 5-6 months later he came back .... but he came back with more than 17 goals this season (remember he played less games and out of his position ).

He's made a total of 53 appearances [including sub. appearances]. Him being played out of position does not execuse him for:

-a poor first touch
-lack of intelligence on the ball
-lack of awareness
-lack of ability to beat his man
-lack of composure in front of goal.

Do you support Cisse FC or Liverpool FC ???

It certainly seems more than a coincidence. I'm starting to think that I just want two new strikers, whoever they are, just to freshen things up. Kuyt would be a preference though, so I'm hoping this is an accurate suspicion.

Depending on how much Fat Freddy outbids us that is.

Glad I have invoked a positive response here lads. Let's hope Kuyt is en route to the John Lennon airport and then taxi's to Anfield to sign on the dotted line. :D

ive read some conflicting reports over this. one minute he's made up there is interest, and its his dream.  the next he says he doesnt want to know till after the world cup...only oranje matters for now. (or is it agent talk for watching the fee rise in germany)

well, rafa cant afford to wait and see how the player feels in 6 weeks time can he. a) the price is likely to have shot up. and  b) there is then little time to get a top draw striker in before pre-season should kujit decide not to come...

also other options may well have been snapped up by then anyway....leaving another owen fiasco.

of course this could all be speculation over and above existing rumours so, who knows..well see.

Kuyt has always said that he will decide his future after world cup..  fenyoord have not received any bids for him.

also can someone please tell me how he would play with crouch?  I cannot see that working at all!
