Congratulation lads - We will have a new manager soon

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

According to the Sunday Times O`Neill isnt even in the frame

smoke screen ?

The English Prem is NOT la liga and untried overseas managers are going to be a BIG gamble

Of course it will be a gamble. But if we are getting a Lippi, a Hitzfeld or a Capello, then I believe they will improve our team. Maurinho and Bernitez...not so sure.

What other British option do we have, other than O'Neill? Curbishly...not tested at the highest level, even bigger gamble. Strachan and McLaren...for god sake no ex-Macs please.

So if we are to go Brits, it has got to be O'Neill. He is primed for much bigger challange now. Besides, understand that Celtic are interested in Houllier, so let's give it to them in exchange for O'Neill. Losing Larson and gaining Houllier is not a bad deal, huh?

Lippi won't be coming to England this summer, remember he was pull out to take over at Spurs because of his wife is in serious ill, so he want to be with her in Italy, I don't blame him for that.

Sean wrote:My concern is that apparently Benetiz doesn't speak good english.

Benitez's agent Manuel Garcia Quillon was quoted saying "Rafa speaks very good English, so language would not be a problem."

Otherwise, we can always re-sign Houllier to teach him English

Its great to speculate on new managers but I do'nt like the fact that is so quiet. I have got a horrible feeling that Moores and parry are going to bottle it and leave Houlier in charge fo4r another season. I f****** hope am wrong. :(
