Great to here that phil's making some small steps in the right direction. Every improvement no matter how small needs to be drawn on as another victory on the road to recovery.

Hope your back on here soon phil - we need you; welsh wizard is already posting some titbits from his world of wank and once the world cup is over he's bound to be spurting all kinds of shit all over this forum.

Well in Phil..  keep faith and keep fighting.

Karen, I am so happy for you and your family..
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

Hi woolly mate, you obviously havent read my pinned thread i posted  :D

I'm not home yet,but making progress.Although this cancer battle is only at the start we finally have pain control sorted with the levels of morphine i receive.Today for the first time they got me out of bed and i stood up on my feet for 40 seconds,i had not stood up for 9 weeks nearly.
Then wearing the most stupid welding goggles because i cant look at bright light, put me in a wheel chair and wheeled me into the bathroom and i had a shower sitting down.
I think after 2 months of wondering "where the feck is that smell coming from and checking every patient here was alive"
they clicked on and thought "i bet its that smelly b@stard Phil".I've had every toilet duty and wash in this bed for over 8 weeks.
After my sit down shower they took me into their garden for 10 minutes, again my first time in the fresh air for two months.
My total time sitting in the wheel chair was about 35 -40 minutes which by this time i was in loads of pain and i came back to my bed,and being here since.
Later today my kids are  coming to see me and i will try to repeat today and sit with them in the hospital garden for half an hour.I hope to go home on the 19th but will be carried upstairs to my bed by the paramedics and basically i will live upstairs for a while.
Stairs will take a while and unless we get a grant for the super charged unleaded Thora Hurd multi functional power stair lift, thats where i will stay for now.
Anyway thanks for your messages of concern and hopefully one day some normality will resume.
That post has worn me out now,so i say my goodbyes and catch you soon.............cheers Phil
