Just wondering who does everyone think will score the most goals in the WC
Was checking sportsbet here in Oz and they quite surprising have Ronaldo and Adriano as favourites followed by Owen and Henry

I reckon France will do well, so I'll go for Henry Hoover.

i'd agree with that.  If Ronaldo starts more games it will be him.  Otherwise Adriano.

You can never say though.  Four years ago Klose of Germany scored about a million in one game I recall, same with Salenko twelve years ago.  Freak games like this occur sometimes and the favourites will not get the Golden Boot then.

I reckon Shevchenko may be a roughie if he is fit.
He could certainly crack a few against TUnisia and the Saudis and Ukraine must have good chance of progressing

I read that some bookies are giving odds of 12-1 on Ol Terry Henry!!!!!!!!!
Gotta be worth a tenner.

i'm gonna stick a tenner on david villa at 28/1. i think that's an absolutely outstanding bet. the top scorer usually comes from someone who fills their boots during the group stages and looking at spains group, they've got one trick y game against the ukraine but they've also got saudi arabia and tunisia.

get your money on david villa folks. :D

I'd go for Francisco Fonseca

You know what thats not a bad shout Oasis. Mexico scored the most goals in qualifying out of any team who has qualified I believe. If Mexico do well, Borgetti or Fonseca may well come close.

Podolski is another one who may get it if Germany do well.

I think it will be Adriano, but I hope it's Pauleta if Portugal do well. He's scored goals for fun in the last few quailfying campaigns Portugal have had (Euro 2004 and WC 2006), and it's about time he proved himelf on the big stage. He has the quality.

ive backed david villa and also done the 100/1 dbl villa and spain.

also got a bit of money on pauletta. portugal got the easy group and pauletta will play up front on his own.

toni was a well backed italian with a lot of places but i dont fancy them.

maybe even messi is a good bet as the argies are my tip for it

Thinking of laying out on Pauleta as well dawson, I really hope he does well. It'd be nice if he took his tally for Portugal to 50 during the tournament (Currently 46).

Well Portugal are drawn along Iran and Angola, so there's goals to be had there for Pauleta, altho he might struggle against (the team I think will win the World Cup) Mexico.

I think there's a number of players who could win it. I think you would have to say that Brazilian players like Adriano and Ronaldo look dead set to win it, but you never know.

My bet is that Fonseca will get it, after all he does boast a great Interntaional career with I believe 18/19 goals in 28/29 appearances, either way that's impressive.

Mexico win! Wow big call, I rate them too, top side and their players mostly play in Mexico so they know each other very well. I think they can go very far, but their group is drawn against Holland and Argentina, so either way they are going to have a tough 2nd round game.

Semi's at very very best for me. More-likely 2nd round or quarter final exit. I think they'll draw Argentina and lose, and Portugal will get Holland and beat them again like they did in Euro 2004.
