Karen, pass on my thanks to Phil for bringing fun and laughter into this forum - he certainly makes my days slogging at work go faster!  Hopefully he gets the internet connection sorted soon, this place isn't the same without this contributions.

Oh and print out some of the Lfc fit birds zone ii pages, he is a very prolific poster on that thread. :D   Oops sorry Phil, hope I didn't get you a nagging from Karen!

BTW Phil, I really admire your courage and determination - and Karen, you are a rock, and an example to the rest of us.

Both of you, when you are at your low points, remember you have an army of Liverpool fans walking with you - YNWA.

Great news everyone just got of the phone with Liverpool FC and they are going to send him a card etc. and if we go through the Willow Foundation Charity with have been put in touch with it looks like we can give Phil his dream day at Liverpool FC.  Had to phone the hospital to ask them to tell him, he's been really low this week but sure this news will cheer him up.

Cheers guys and gals you are all amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love you all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I've just got in from visiting Phil in hospital.

First of all, if any of you were wondering what Phil is like, he's a top lad. He hasn't let his head drop, and he is facing this dreadful situation with his usual sense of humour.
One thing that is obvious is Phil's love of Liverpool FC. Everyone knows he loves our club, and has supported them through 4 seperate decades, been to 3 European Cup finals, and had a season ticket for many years.
What perhaps isn't so obvious is how much he is truely touched by the support, both mentally and financially he has recieved from the members on this forum. He said to me that he feels undeserving of such support from his fellow members.
But we are all Liverpool fans. The show of support he has recieved from this place is astounding. He has a wall covered with cards from the members, and he is moved by the humanity and thoughtfulness of our efforts.
Karen is a lovely lady aswell, and the strength she has shown beggars belief. The love these two so obviously have for one another makes Phil a rich man, despite the set-backs he has to deal with.

I would encourage you all to get along to see Phil, assuming your situations allow. He is a good man, and does not deserve the hand life has delt him health-wise.

Above all, I would like to wish Phil, Karen and his family the best of luck in his recovery.

And I would like to add that all you members are bloody fantastic. :)
