From Teamtalk.com:

Cisse open to Marseille offer

Liverpool's Djibril Cisse has again opened the door on a move to Marseille by revealing he would be willing to listen to an offer from them.

The French international, who will showcase his talents in this summer's World Cup in Germany, is continually being linked with a move back to his homeland after struggling to cement a regular first-team place at Anfield.

Marseille have made no secret of their interest in the pacy 24-year-old and almost got their man in the January transfer window before Liverpool pulled the plug on the deal.

But Cisse admits he has always harboured an ambition to play for Marseille, although Auxerre are also on his wish list.

He told La Provence newspaper: "I am ready to study any offer.

"I have two favourite clubs in France, AJ Auxerre and OM, who have always made me dream. And I know that one day I will play at Marseille.

"We almost reached an agreement (in January) but Liverpool eventually decided to oppose the transfer.

"In Marseille people thought that I did not want to come but that was absolutely not the case."

Hy !
I am a french guy and i've just registered on your website !
First, congratulations foir the cup ! The match was on TV in France ! I was happy for you !

So, i come in order to speak about 2 facts :
- first, as you've certainly ever seen it, cissé has told that he could join marseille. I am fan of marseille ( even if i leave in the north east of France ! ) . Here people don't think that cissé could join us because he has ever said that but our team is'nt importnant for him ... he just says that to make add for him ! I think that.
- the second point is : alou diarra. he has ever played for you and the media announce him to marseille. You know that he'll play the world cup in germany. What could you say about him ? Was it so stronger when he was playin for liverpool ?
Bye

Cisse is likely to leave Liverpool this summer, but only after Morientes has left and a replacement is found for him, we will then try to find a replacement for Cisse and sell him at the same time. But we will not let him go for less than 7-8Mil and we will probably want more. I think Cisse would move to Marseille if they could guarantee him a first team place, and he would score many goals for you.

Alou Diarra never actually played a game for Liverpool, he was always out on loan. He looks like a very strong and aggressive player and looks like a good defensive midfielder, but he isn’t very technical and his passing is poor.

One things for certain Cisse cannot go till we have brought in a replacement neither can Morientes either for that matter, cant be caught short again like selling Baros and had to bring back Fowler because they wernt scoring.

We still havent replaced Owen IMHO, and we really need to if Rafa is planning on playing 5-4-1 a lot next season I would keep Cisse as this is his prefered roll as he doesnt seem to play well with a striking partner.

Cisse is annoying but he will get you goals I think his attitude has changed in the last few games TBH and Rafa seems different with him also, maybe he just paraded him in the shop window only Rafa and Cisse will know that.
He cant leave for less than 10 million and a suitable replacement must be brought in before any striker leaves that includes Pongolle but I doubt we will ever see him playing for us again.
Oh and if Cisse does leave I prefer him to go abroad I fear it could come back to haunt us if he stays in the prem at another club.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

I think they meant 98 beards and 221 hairstyles. :D

I definitely agree we can only sell Morientes and Cisse if we have replacements lined up, especially if Rafa wants to stick with a 4-4-2 next year. I think that Morientes not getting selected for the Spanish squad is a blessing in disguise, he will be available for negotiating and any prospective clubs can get a full pre-season from him.

I think the priority will be to sell Morientes and find a top class replacement before pre-season starts. Then when Cisse comes back from the World Cup we can see how viable it is to sell him for a reasonable price and find a better player, if we can then great, if not then he will stay and be one our 4 strikers next season.

I guess Cisse has scored less than 30 goals for Liverpool.

79 appearances, 24 goals

The stat in the story I posted (221 appearances, 98 goals) is definitely his career total.

That makes it a goal every 3 and a bit games. For £14m? Take out a couple of penalties and add the calaiber of the teams who have conceded from Cisse and it's just not up to scratch. Ok, he had a broken leg, but if he can't cut it, he can't cut it. I'd keep him over Nando for rotation and would only play him against lesser teams, but I'd rather ship in a replacement.

AHhaha  I wouldnt say getting in the French team is an achievement. Heck you have Boumsong in the team HAhahah

The reason Alou Diarra never played for us was he wasnt good enough. He had the chance to come back and fight for a place but in typical French style he wasnt up for that. Spoilt just like Cisse with everyone in France telling them how great they are.

Cisse has asked for a move to Marseille this morning, whats the Cisse lovers opinion on this??

I have to say im delighted and cant wait for him to go, good riddence to the one trick pony who offers nothing but pace, lacks strenth, desire, ability, a good pass, a good 1st touch and basically a lazy bast&rd.

See ya Cisse, i for one wont miss you.

WHAT?? Cisse was are 2nd top goalscorer last season, WOW what an amazing feat that is truly awesome for a center forward who cost 14 million, What a man, lets knight him.

Oh and how many league goals did he hit and how many big games has he ever performed in???

This is great news for LFC, i couldnt have wished for a better start to the day.

I am disappointed with his comments but i guess he has to do whats best for himself. Rafa does not rate him so i guess he thinks his future lies elsewhere.

But people take the :censored: out of his record this season... Not a bad return for a RIGHT WINGER... His temperament is questionable, finishing and first touch are sometimes lacking but what can you expect from a player who has not been given a decent chance to prove himself. He would score 1 game and be back on the bench next week.
