DRUMMERPHIL'S THREAD - DONATIONS, PRAYERS AND GOODWILL MESSAGES

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I havent been around here for awhile so this is sad news to come back to.Im not a particularly religious person and my prayers are usually limited to begging God for a red's win on saturday.I'll make an exception for you and your family though Phil.Football is probably a stupid analogy but Cardiff on saturday and Istanbul showed us that you can never give up hope, even when it looks like all hope is gone.Keep fighting Phil and family, theres a lot of people out here willing you to succeed.

Phil and Karen,

I'm deeply saddened to hear that things have taken a turn for the worse. I can only hope and pray that you will improve and get better soon. Never mind taken a step backwards, take 2 forward. Have told my friends and family about you (hope you dont mind) and their thoughts and prayers are with you also. Hope you enjoyed the match on Saturday as much as we did. Was thinking about you when Gerrard scored his 2nd goal. In my mind he scored it for you.
Hope you get better soon chum, the forum is not the same without you.

PS... can anyone pm me Phils home address? Have tried to get the paypal thing to work and it won't take my mastercard details. Would like to send a card with my donation.

Lets hope hes doing all right and hopefully he will be back with us as soon as he can.

He has contributed a lot to this forum and it would be sad if he were to never to post on it again.

Hi Everyone,

Sorry it took a few days to get connected back onto the internet but in the meantime Phil started his radiotherapy which seems to make him a little confused and sleepy. Still trying to get him the internet but fighting loads of red tape and excuses and Phil is very frustrated that he carnt communicate and thankyou all in person.

I am about to send a PM to JohnnyMac it is from Phil, written down for me by Phil and he wished it to be posted has a new thread (which I carnt do) so hopefully JohnnyMac can sort it out for him?

Phil now has a section of his room dedicated to Liverpool, I printed some of the photos off for him of the game and he has got several of his Liverpool shirts on display, including refusing to wear anything else but his Liverpool shirts!

Have to rush now almost visiting time and have yet to type out Phils message, but I will try to get back on later and type out some of his transcript which he wrote while watching the game.

You will pleased to hear that donations now total a wonderful £366.31 (this minus Paypal cut - sorry chaps) thanks a million and once again I promise this will be spent on Phil.

TTFN

Between Ciggy and Karen, we have all been fortunately well informed about Phil's sititation.. A BIG BIG Thank you to you both for doing this... and whilst this is an extremely worrying time, cards and flowers can lift the spirits of any one, but for someone facing the battle for their life, it is even more important for him to know our sentiments.

Sending the money has been a great effort by all and has restored my faith in the 'humaness' that exists amongst all on these pages, as have the heart felt thoughts posted on these here pages everyday,  but as Lynds has rightly said send a card if ya havn't, and if you want, flowers too, cos that can brighten up a dull day for anyone, but for Phil, well

I'm guilty of not sending a card out yet. I wanted to make one rather than send one. Just finished it so will print it off on the colour printer at work tomorrow and send it off.
