UPDATE : Murf picked the banners up this morning and we are ready to got for Cardiff. Will post pictures as soon as possible.

That's just great and bought a tear to my eye. Will have to whatch the match now to look out for it!

Maybe not, because I always say England always lose when I whatch them play, and this is the only football I do whatch, therefore Phil bans me from whatching any Liverpool games and if I even walk into the room and they concede a goal its my fault!

Strict orders for no vistors tomorrow between 1.00 & 5.00 unless you are a true red.

I dont know if anyone spotted the banner, but I did get a picture of it with the stadium behind me, and another by the rocket as the parade passed by on Queens Drive.

Will post them ASAP.

Also, I had one or two ideas on what to do with the banner. I wanted everyones thoughts:

1) Post the banner to Phil to put in the hospital by his bed (only if he wants toof course).

2) I was gonna get a friend who knows one or two players to get some autographs, but as the players are now off for World Cup/pre season its not possible until August at the earliest.

3) As I have two pictures (at least) of the flag with stuff behind me, and the flag has now "attended" the FA Cup Final and the homecoming, and what with the summer holidays/World Cup coming up, should we get any members on here to be pictured with the flag all over the World. We could post it to one another and Phil's flag would be well travelled.

Any other ideas ?

posting it over the world may take a long time. i like the idea of getting someone to sign it but that would be VERY difficult.

i managed to get a limited edition paper weight from the final that were givfen to hospitality. if anyone ahs an address i'll gladly post it to them so they can get it to phil

how about all the board members signing it for now and send it to phil.Then in august get it back and signed by the players then do option 3

I saw both banners Leon - good work chap.

In fact I saw you put Phils banner up - were you the big fella in the 74 shirt or the lad in the white t-shirt?

I was behind the goal myself but saw you using my mums binoculars!

i really like idea 3)....that would be class if it could be passed around to each member and signed or had its picture taken...i'd be well up for that.

That was me in the 74 t-shirt, and our kid or Murf with the white T-Shirt on.
