He scored more than PC and Mori, and you said that Cisse still NOT good enough.  So bottomline ( for you ) Cisse NOT good for Liverpool , as for Mori and PC are worst than Cisse because they have less goals.

you really love Cisse now do you? He is not good enough. If you have read my previous posts Morientes and Crouch are in the team to assist their team mates more than scoring goals. And if you read my last post again I say that stats mean nothing. Its not about how many goals you score, its about how you help the team and most of the time Cisse too selfish to pass the ball or too lazy to make a run for it. I just used the stats to show that with them, Fowler makes a better player than Cisse and he came to us on a free!

Would you be happy if our strike force consisted of Marlon Harewood and Robert Earnshaw?

Both have excellent goal scoring records in the Premiership, shall we sign them as our first team striker force?

As for me as long a striker scores goals, he have done his job. Cisse have already more than 15 goals this season, futhermore he played less games and always played on the RM. Why should I be angry?

What will happen if PC or Mori played on RM ?

No , they both just like EH.

Im looking forward for next season , sell Jerzy Dudek, Mori and Djimi Traore .... hope that we will sign Defoe, SWP and Kompany.

The thing is mate, only the very best finishers in the World can play for a team like ours, whilst contributing nothing but goals.

If he was getting 35 a season against top opposition, then fair enough.

He scores most goals against sh*t teams, and creates sh*g all for others, save for the odd cross when deployed as a winger.

IF he could learn about positioning, movement and teamwork, and IF he stops being a mardy ar*e, then he'd be a top striker.

But I don't think he can. As he plays now, Rafa is using him to his strengths (i.e. fast sub), and getting results.
For me he will never be a regular starter for Liverpool FC, unless injuries/suspensions dictate.

I'd keep him, but still get a truely class forward in aswell.

I'd still rather have a him start than Morientes, though.

In a big match that counts, Rafa picks Morientes because he doesn't trust Cisse. Cisse plays in the games against lesser opposition where there's less of a risk. In reality Morientes has only played 100 minutes more than him all season. I don't think Rafa is happy with Morientes either. He can't be. Lets face it, Rafa isn't stupid.

If Alonso is fit on Saturday, it'll be interesting to see who he picks up front. If Alonso isn't fit, Cisse might get in at right-midfield.

Assuming Alonso plays, if past form is anything to go by, he'll pick Morientes up front. The last 20 minutes by Cisse in the semi-final at Old Trafford was a master class in what not to do. It was stupendously bad and I can not see Rafa risking puttng Cisse on from the start.

So could you please explain in depth how Marlon Harewood and Robert Earnshaw are like Heskey?

And then explain how Cisse is not.

Cisse is very fast but a rubbish footballer. As mentioned above watch him against Chelsea in the semi, a disgrace to football. He has no brain. possibly the dumbest footballer I've ever seen. All he has is pace but he still runs offside - why?

We could send a scout to a race club or just pick up one of the british 100m sprinters and they'd be no worse.

He MUST go.Morientes should go too.

I've read stories saying the Cisse transfer has been suspicous - there was talk of it being looked into. Not even the old Fool GH could really have rated him at £14m. Wenger must have pi$$ing himself laughing at the time.

Christ , what does that say about the rest of our strike force . Despite being constantly left out of the starting line up and being played time and again out of position he's still our highest scoring striker .

I agree that Cisse is not the most intellignt or accomplished player in our squad but I think it's about time we cut the fella some slack .

I agree.....

I for one am not too fond of the git, but he is still scoring even when out of position..... and he's crossing seems to be improving..... who knows we may be able to use him as a utility sorta of player...... back-up right winger and speed demon to come off the bench with 25 mins to go.....

God only knows we'll never recuperate the 14 mill if we let go of him now.... at best maybe 7 or 8 mill?

If he's salary isn't too high...... it may be worth to see if Rafa can get through his thick skull and make him a thinking footballer instead of just a master blaster......

I donno.... I've slagged him off so many times but as woof says..... maybe time to cut the guy some slack...... especially if we keep him this summer..... he'll be no use to us if he's attitude doesn't change and it ain't gonna change till we start giving him wee bit more support... ???
