i think we need to bring in 2 strikers in the summer and get rid of cisse & mori

kuyt would be my first choice for striker he is class, got pace, strength, skill and can finish
considering that we wont have a massive budget in the summer, i think we should sign another striker who is cheap but an effective backup player, what about henrik larson? on a free in the summer and is still a very good player, or even hasselbaink?

how about Berbatov from Bayer Leverkusen - he's not a bad player and although missed a few chances against us in champ league last year did seem to be a good all round striker, pace, strength, link-up etc.

I really doubt Ajax will let Huntelaar go anytime soon. He just signed for them less than a season ago and at them moment he is one of the top scorers world wide. Their last game they beat PSV 2-1, both Klaas's goals. We might have a better chance getting Babel, also a good striker :D .

Some reports here mention that Liverpool are one of the teams after Jeferson Farfan from PSV (media here loves to speculate about him). Any thoughts about him? I for one think he is good but not good enough or exactly what we need at the moment, although I would like see one of my country members wearing the red shirt :D.

Anyone know anything about rumours concerning Martins from Inter in exchange for Morientes...

Saviola anyone?

Hard to imagine no posters mentioned him. He's got the pace, the ball control (esp. dribbling) and an instinct for goals. Granted, he might be lacking in the heading department but Crouch can take care of that I suppose.

I would say that he's just like Owen (cept that he score from outside the box too). I suppose we can fit in other foreign (non-EU) player too in our squad.

Here's a very biased clip of Saviola in action  :D

It's a bit dated but well, as they say class is permanent I guess.

Here's a rather updated clip of him in Sevilla.

Not as impressive as the first clip but it is probably due to the squad around him. I think he can do a job for us.

Not to mention he should come to us at no more than 7M.

He's 24 years old (but been around for long) and currently plays for Sevilla.

He's most likely going with Argentina to the WC. And he actually won the South American Footballer of the Year in 1999 (source from wikipedia...of all places ). :D

Impressive CV I would say... hope he can adapt to the English league though. All South American players are a gamble to bring to the English league.

Good news though...he holds Spanish citizenship so there's no work permit problems.
