I'm having a bit of a problem as PayPal is rejecting my credit card, which is strange, as there is nothing wrong with it.

Anyway, my contribution will be winging its way to Phil in the afternoon once I sort it out.

I'm so glad that people seem to be backing up their kind words with all the support they can- I'm sure Phil and Karen are as touched by the sentiment as anything.

I've made my contribution but really hope that things improve for Phil enough for him to enjoy some more quality time with his family (and maybe even his entended family- us lot!!)

Good luck mate- YNWA

You need to register a bank account ( acc no, sort code etc) on your paypal account, they will then check you are who you say you are by depositing two small amonts in your account. You will then receive an automated phone call from paypal asking you to confirm the two amounts. Once you have done this your account will be authorised. You can then either move funds from your bank into your paypal account or donating from paypal without first transferring funds paypal will issue an e-cheque on your behalf and recoup the money from your account later (an e-cheque takes about 10 days to clear though).

I hope this helps, it may sound complicated but it's all pretty simple once you have familiarised yourself with the paypal site and there are plenty of onscreen instructions to help. I am cirtainly no Bill Gates and I've managed to use it for hundreds of transactions. Good luck!!

i'll try to use my wife's credit card instead (don't have one), as it sounds easier, once she's returning from abroad

Finally, I got my PayPal to work.

I hope my extremely modest contribution helps Phil.

Fair play to all who have contributed.

Have we got an interim total yet?

Phil, am really sad to hear the news. You can get though it.

When you walk through the storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm

There's a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of the lark

Walk on, through the wind
Walk on, through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone

Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone

Keep walking son!!!

Hows the fund coming along?
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

I'm fúcking waiting in order Paypal sends me a mail to recover my password, it's been ages since I don't use it. I'd like to request (probably it's meant this way) that the funding is not only for this moment, but will be opened long time, as it is going to be a long battle, and keep this thread alive in order new mates or mates that enter from time to time are aware of it

The problem is caused by the "money" option when asked what type of transaction you are making. Change it to "goods".
