I consider myself to be quite knowledgable on football matters and  I know that sounds like I am blowing my own trumpet, but I think I am qualified to proffer  my opinion having endured such a turbulent  love affair with the Reds .
My  first earliest memory  is watching awe struck as my mother took herself into the garden to weep bitterly  after Charlie George  unceremoniously  put  Liverpool  out of the F.A cup .
I think I realised that day how much of an important and integral role this glorious game of football would play in my life .
My mother idolised John Toshack and she fancied Kevin Keegan because in them days there  was passion and their was unrequited love, the same love I experienced at my first match Liverpool v Spurs. .
I know my dads two passions were drinking and the Reds but that day  he would have gladly died happy if this was  his last game, or indeed the last beer he drank  because for ninety  glorious  minutes  Liverpool were untouchable ,11 footballing gods  playing  perfect football that left my dad and me open mouthed  and the Kop in awe struck disbelief .

But it wasn’t solely about Liverpool sometimes at Anfield we witnessed  some true footballing gods
I can remember Liam Brady skipping through our defence at will ,the Leeds team receiving an ovation from the Kop .
Even to this day  Anfield is a magical place but there is a worrying trend evolving  and it’s the sole reason I no longer take my lad the Premier games ,the hatred and the abuse shouted by the next generation  makes me cringe in embarrassment   and I think the same can be said for some of the bile written on this forum of late ,its by people who don’t know and have never seen  what being a true fan  is about and sadly never will .

I haven't bothered even to lurk RAWK (perhaps I should, but since I read here once not to bother...), I might do some day if I'm bored. Plus, I'm sure they won't have a better insight on Gonzalez in San Sebastian than this forum :) .

To be honest I think every forum has it's legends. It's sad perhaps, but when you have a comfortable time and a coffee you read all the posts, but when you have little time, you tend to read the posters you like most or the opinions you rate most.

That in a massive forum goes worse, and many good posts/threads get lost between not so good posts. Also, I usually post in one forum (for instance Real Sociedad) and lurk in the others. I tend to write in the forum I feel most comfortable or suits better me, and learn from the others. But for some reason I've been somewhat lazy to start reading RAWK so far.
