May aswell give my thoughts as well.
1. When we lost at Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Sounds strange I know, but hear me out. For the first third of the match we were not only stopping them in the middle and displaying our prowess, but we were pushing forward a bit as well. And after they smashed us at Anfield, I didn't hold out much hope of any sort of possitive football, so I was more than pleasently surprised and it showed how far we've come in less than a season. Things did take a bad turn, but the hope that first 30mins gave me is still there. And this wasn't like the Semi Final, which impressive as it was, was not against the normally brutal Chelsea that exists in the Premiership.
The other aspect of that game that really came across was of course the sending off of Pepe. People really saw how devious and undiserving Chelsea were when Robben fell over and the popular support that this event could bring to us if we become their main rivals could be invaluable.
The Everton game comes in at a very close 2nd and when Stevie got sent off, I could only hope for a 0-0. Excellent display from the lads and what a win.
2. I've always thought that Zlatan Ibrahimovic would be fantastic in the Premiership, but Adriano gets my vote here. He's very creative and resembles an intelligent and more predatory Van Horseface, with a lot more skill as well. Other notable mentions go to Kaka, Ronaldinho and Tevez.
3. Big, greasy sausage in a long white roll with slightly burned onions and tomato ketchup, lots of tomato ketchup. Mmm....
4. I find this a really hard one to answer. He looks like he's the future of the English left back, after Ashley Cole has matured by now. Cole is a certainty and is probaly one of the top three LBs in the world, though he's better going forward than defending. Bridge has had it. Not worth the ticket in my book and though Cole hasn't had much pitch time either, whereas the Arsenal player's quality remains, Bridge looks tired and out of practice. Konchesky is another option worth consideration, but Carragher is the certain cover player for the entire defence so Cole may be the only natural LB we take.
Warnock did start well, and he's had a bit of a rough time with injuries by all account, but he's certainly getting better wit time. He'd certainly be adequate cover, though he has more chance of getting to Swi/Aus in two years time.
5. I love this question. Shanks would be fantastic and I dare say would prompt a few "debates". I'd love to have Rafa there just to work out what's in his head, because, he's still quite a mysterious bloke in my eyes. Stevie, because he's Stevie (legend) and Robbie because he's God. And finally, my personal favourite of all time is Stevie McManaman.
6. I'd start against Pompey with Robbie and Nando, bringing on Cisse and Crouch to keep them sharp in the second half. Then I'd start against the Hammers with the frenchman and the giant. If Cisse's on form, he can be good, but he's only there because Nando's pretty useless and we have no other options.
