For me all the squad players must play this as we should be able to win anyway.

                                    Dudek

            Finnan       Hyypia      Agger       Warnock

           Kromkamp   Hamman    Sissoko     Cisse

                          Morientes    Fowler

Cisse did quite well in that position against West Ham so I'd be tempted to keep him there. I don't see the likes of Carragher, Alonso, Gerrard and Crouch being risked with the Cup Final just around the corner.

My thoughts are firmly fixed on May 13th and those happy Hammers

just one question, have Hyypia-Agger played together in central defence?

I see agger on the right with finnan getting rested too(he's very important) and traore partnering hyypia in central defence.

3-0, cisse hattrick(his first ever for liverpool and probably his farewell game too  :(   -)

i was just looking at the skysports website to see if there was any confirmation of what games they are showing live for the final day on sunday.

it appears that if arsenal lose at man city tomorrow then 4th will be already decided, and with there also being no relegation to decide, the only issue still to be decided would be 2nd. therefore the two live games should be us against pompey and manure-charlton.

however if arsenal win i can see them having west-ham-spurs on one channel and the arsenal-wigan game on the other.

i couldnt see manure losing points to boro either but they look an extremely average team without rooney in the team. it is gonna go down to the wire if u ask me but all we can do is grab another 3 points.. we got 10 wins a row and no reason why it wont be 11 going into the big one on the 13th

I do not think the players have got the heart to play. Its quite a huge blow to them really. And judging from their last home game, its pretty obvious.

I believe we will be second placed come the end of the season.  I just get this feeling that Man U will not win or draw any remaining games.

Portsmouth will be tough but you have to have the faith.

Liverpool FC fans everywhere just believe and it will happen.
............

The above is what I wrote in another thread.  Ok Man U managed a draw against Middlesborough but I beleive Charlton will be up for this game.  I know they don't have anything to play for however they will want to end the season on a high.

Interesting game this weekend as it could actually work against us. Had Utd beaten Sunderland Rafa could simply have rested his big guns and focussed fully on the Fa Cup. However, now he has to decide whether to risk the likes of Gerrard, Carra and Sami on the off-chance that Charlton can get something at Trafford. Chances are he will rest a couple but put out a strong team none the less. I'd expect to see stevie on the bench ready to come on if needed and i'd like to see Alonso there also. Robbie and Garcia will deffo play and Kewell needs a game if he is fit. There will be a real carnival atmosphere at Fratton Park, they're safe so i would expect the lads to get out of there with a repeat of last years 2-1 win.

Fowler and Garcia to get the goals.

Garcia can't play, mate...suspended.

As for Robbie, I hope he's playing but I think Rafa may still be auditioning the other strikers to see who's gonna start in Cardiff.

im optimistic at the moment that we can grab 2nd, man u havent scored in something like 4 games and they seem to be going on one of their poor runs again, im hoping charlton will be up for it and get something. Im sure we can beat portsmouth unless we give up and relax, which i doubt since we still have 2nd to play for

Hopefully Rafa has had a chat with Curbs, you know telling him that winning OR giving a good account of themselves in the last game as the manager is absolutely crucial.
