It's gonna make it's "big splash" at E3 on May 9th (which means it could be out withen 3 months of that date going by nintendo's previous form) where they can show off all the extra bits and bobs. There has been confirmation that it will be accompanied upon release with 20 launch titles which may include Pikmin 3, Tony Hawk: Downhill Jam, Sadness (a gothic horror game with more atmosphere than any other [apparently]) and rather bizzarely a painting game based on the legendary Bob Ross (did The Joy Of Painting series on US TV and is still on at 9 in the morning on one of the sky channels. he's been dead for some time now) although this last one may well have been an april fools joke. There has also been discussion of including 2 controllers in the box with the Rev which would be nice. I'll continue to keep you posted.

With the Revolution planning something massive for E3 and with X360 sales starting to pick up a bit of steam, they're panicing a bit and the PS3 looks like it's gonna suffer. They're terrified that because Microsoft and Nintendo are projecting big and quick success with their machines and the fact that PSP software units aren't shifting at anything like the desired rate, they are going to have to rush the PS3. This means that all the components which blew up in the original prototype are basically just going to be gaffer taped up and shoved back in so they have a chance of making a decent showing this Christmas. This could mean that the PS3 is going to be even less impressive than it was going to be.
What this also means is that developers and suppliers don't know what's going on, with games being designed for specs that may no longer exist, so the machine may only have a skeleton selection of launch titles to boot.
Basically, it's complete chaos at Sony and the phrase "headless chicken" doesn't begin to cover the madness that's going on there. The machine will still be a huge success (new coke sucked and it still outsold Pepsi) but the market could really be opened up if Sony don't pull their act together.
