LIVERPOOL VS WEST HAM - Possible fa cup final rehearsal

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Did anyone else get frustrated with the announcers repeatedly gleaming this match as an FA Cup final preview?  Regardless that LFC made eight changes to their lineup that beat the diving russians on Sunday!

80 points would represent amazing progress, truly phenomenal.

considering we put out a truly awful line up tonight we still beat west ham... well thats definately encouraging for the final!

last 9 games won, last 7 won in the prem, 76 points, possible 82, FA cup final...things are fantastic

I agree Cool Hand, to be where we are considering last years travails in the league is outstanding.  With Rafa's pledge to bring in even more new talent over the summer, the future is continuing on the up and up.

Now if we could only get this striker situation sorted out, we would be ready for a challenge in the league.

Man, I do not want this season to end!

A decidely make-shift side sees off West Ham away in a game that we could have easily dropped points in given our abyssmal form in London this season and given that things could have gone a little flat after clinching 3rd and a berth in the FA Cup final.  Nonetheless, the lads perservered and pulled off another win!

These were exactly the kinds of games we were losing last season.  Hell, not just losing--getting out-fought in.  This season, however, we're beating all the teams we should be and we're ending strong...piling up another impressive run of victories!

Next season, if we can just improve our league results against the Mancs, Chelski and Arsenal while maintaining this kind of form against the rest of the league, we'll have a sniff at the title!

Roll on Villa!  :buttrock

from bbc

Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez:
"We will see if we can appeal because both players apologised to each other and the referee.
"I think that the referee understands the situation. He will watch the video again and if he sees something different he will put it in his report.

"In this case, with the two teams playing in the final maybe someone can be sensible."

yeah both red cards deserved i guess, garcia elbowed mullins in the back intentionally and mullins pushed his hand in garcia face. Dont know if they should have been red cards but if 1 was red the other had to be
