Can't see us scoring?  Can't see us winning?  What's all this?

Half the reason Chelsea wins so many games is that teams show up with precisely this attitude.

We are Liverpool!  We fear no team!

I've got the butterflies in the stomach too mates but to basically concede victory before kick off shows an appalling lack of faith in our lads.

We Shall Prevail!  :buttrock

I have got faith AND hope, but in my head I just cant see where the goals are gonna come from! we wont fear them, anything but, however, its gonna have to take the performance of the season to beat these fcukers and I personally dont think we have enough up front to do it! We can match and beat them everywhere else on the park, so Im praying for that bit of luck in front of goal ???

Can't believe the amount of negative posts on here, especially since we are playing much better than Chelsea on current form.

Mourinho has lost the plot a bit in recent weeks - subbing 2 wingers in the first half, a string of bad results, and now he's done away with the 'winger' system he's used successfully for 2 seasons in favour of playing the overrated Joe Cole in behind Crespo and the biggest cheat in football.  Add to that their defence not exactly looking solid and Essien possibly sidelined and I'd say we have the advantage.  The only real thing they have going for them at the moment is that Lampard has found his shooting boots again.

Our main problem will obviously be finding a goal, and yeah Fowler will be a miss, but we managed to find 7 against Brum without Fowler.  Ok Brum are no Chelsea, but we are still well capable of scoring goals without Fowler.  It will be a tight game and one goal could be enough to win it.

I really fancy us to win tomorrow, bring it on...

There is a very fine line between winning and losing these sorts of games (against the big teams) and if you look at the last match in the league at the Bridge we were the dominant for a long spell at the start of the match but payed the price for not turning superior possession into a lead. Then chelsea got a chepa goal on the break and the lads lost all their composure from there on in. It's very important we get the first goal. If we get it I believe we win the game.

I'd agree with that - the first goal will be crucial.  But we also have to remember it's the cup and anything can happen.  Although it'll be odds on for a low scoring game, don't be all that surprised if it turns out to be a bit more open than we expected...

Yeaa.. Cant wait for tomorows game, Going to be a good game, Both teams will fear eachoother because we are both good teams, If you think about it when chelsea beat us twice this season we wasnt as full of confidence as we are now.. So really we should be more confident tomorow and hopefully we will get to the final :D

Well the time has come for us rain on there hopes for a 2nd cup this season we will show them cheating tarts once again that money can not bie them everything in the world of football.

tonight I’ve turned the outside of my house in to a blitz’s of red and white one of my Nabors is a Chelsea supporter and just to p=iss me off he has a scummy cfc flag out side his house all year round I would love to kill that flag but he would know it was me. My wife will not let me have mine out all year the bitch.
There are loads of glory hunters kids that play on the green out side my house they have been chanting Chelsea stuff at my house all day.
So for me to have to take our beloved flags down tomorrow to a loss is not an option.
I do not care what else happens as long as we put an end to Chelsea smug cheating arrogant ugly smelly toss bags season and to see Jose struck by lightning would be a bonus to.

Hiya speaking from a neutraul view point here Liverpool certainly have a chance but i think considering Chelsea's recent form they have to be slight favorites question of depth and if extra time comes the bench is an advantage for Chelsea (If this was 3 weeks ago Chelsea would be in trouble but form has picked up somewhat)

The best way to describe both teams is professional two very solid units with in paticular liverpool star players discouraged thier are no big time Charlies at either team really and that should be a testement to both managers man managment skill.

Semi finals define themselves by been tense affairs with both teams feeling each other out for the first half hour at least. Obviously both teams are almost bedfellows by now such is the familiarity with each other it will be like United-Arsenal in 2004 were both teams went to attack from the off. obviously tight defences should keep the scoreboard down but i dobut there will be a lack of ambition.

But i may be stating something stupid here for all the money these Chelsea players are on i think the occasion will get to you (the current Chelsea squad very few of them have experiences of playing in one off cup games at neutraul venues where there is 50/50 support. In fact the one time they did it was the Carling Cup final and they didnt turn up till bloody extra time Liverpool were not dominating that game but chelsea just didnt seem to turn up at all as if the occasion was haunting them for a while maybe just my view but im intrested how they will handle the one off big stage game.

Chelseas current rise on form has nothing to do though with Lampard who many would consider their main attacking outlet i have no affinity to either side but have no dobut i would have Gerrard over Frank due to his more rounded game this is a chance to show it Lampard is tired that superhuman fitness rate and endurance maybe just waning. (Possibly fatherhood has got to him or possibly his limits are been shown much like Beckhams limits were slowly been exposed around the same time of his carrer)

Alonso well he is a fine passer of the ball no dobut but i dont think Kewell and Crouch are as good targets as Robben,Duff and Drogba which chelsea have the option to spray long passes to.

Who plays the holding role for Liverpool I read an article here that hamman is the match of Makalale. I would have to disagree with it somewhat I agree Hamman can more then match Makalale as a footballer the shot power and passing maybe isnt what it was but id say he can do a good job but i would consider makalales protection of the defence better and i would consider him more able to last the full 90 or possible 120.

Sissoko is a gamble to play. he thrives on his physicality but Chelsea can probobly match Liverpool physically anyway in the middle. he lacks Hammans inteliegence in the middle and if Benitez believes Hamman can last the full 90 he should play him its a game for cool heads out there. Liverpool can most certainly hold thier own in the middle it will be won or lost on the day there their are no glaring weaknesses in either midfield.

Defensivly Terry and Carragher are the leaders of both backlines. Similar as players but Terrys game is somewhat more polished and with his extra strength in the air he has advantages but like United did at  Old Trafford send pace at him Ronaldo and Rooney worried him on many an occasion he was unable to cope Cisse is a gamble but he can worry Terry if he adds control to his pace.

Hypia while a good player is simply not as good as either of Chelseas choices. he has size and strength in the air but I believe William Gallas to be one of the more underated defenders in the premiership can play in a few positions very quick no glaring weaknesses probobly helps Terry look better then he is the trick is to expose Terry by keeping Gallas away.

Liverpools defensive system is paticularly effective against all it seems but Chelsea maybe the extra physicallity and movement of Chelsea or maybe Mourinho knows something about it we dont but he seems to be able to sort it out most times at least more then other teams can sort it.

The Goalkeepers were the biggest gulf betweeen the teams last year and while i would consider Cech to be ahead Reina is close in on him defenitly he certainly reads the play better then Cech just i think Cech is capable of better saves and catches more then he punches.

up ront well for the quality of the rest both teams should be stronger i donr see the game been won there unless Drogba certainly decides to stand up and be counted for and play he shouldnt cause to many problems good experienced defenders should be able to deal with a overpriced battering Ram.

Fowler is a miss but im not sure if he would have done much his role off the striker is marshalled by Makalale. United earlier in the season had to put Rooney on the left to avoid Makalale as makalale marshalls the play so well can cuts out the danger 9 times out of 10.

The rest well i dont know i know from a quick look Morientes,Cisse and Crouch have been discussed to bits so no need to bore you more.

I think the game will be won in extra time and the losing team will end up with a man sent off.

Will be nice here to you Liverpool 2-1 Gerrard,Hypia
