interesting to hear that he says there will be 3 or 4 new players next season.

Well, Palleta and Gonzalez are 2; so I'd expect at least 2 more.

Loved that Rafa song in earlier post, if Garcia scored it must be sung.

If we are to do anything tomorrow we will need Liverpool Football Club standard performances from Garcia, Crouch and Kewell. Forget Gerrard and Alonso, we know they can do it in the big games. The other three, whilst bright in parts, need to demonstrate that they can step it up a gear in the big games. Before the Garcia Brigade rattle on about seven goals in the CL last season, big deal - it was last season. Kewell has improved of late but has still to impose himself against the top teams and Crouch has shown glimpses of talent but nowhere near the level required to take apart a top class defence.

And they wonder why they don't get any recognition or respect from opposition supporters & clubs. With vile (s)hit like that it's not hard to see why....how I wish the day when Chelsea fall.  :glare:

to be completely honest i don't see a lot wrong with that article. of course there is a chelsea bias and a couple of digs at us but i've seen much much worse. the truth is that we are behind chelsea in the league and in head to head performances, as much as we like to think we are their bogey team we have to admit that they are ours. maybe we get their backs up but that counts for nothing in terms of success on the pitch. they're still smarting from the CL semi-final exit last season and it would be absolutely effin brilliant to put them out in a semi again. it still wouldn't make us even with them in terms of who is the current more successful team but it'll make a massive dent in their sickening pride and leave them looking longingly at us again.

winning this game will be a fantastic feeling but IF we lose it we're not going to hear the last of it for a long long time.

Am still very curious to see how we line up tomorrow. I'm not  a massive fan of playing three at the back but we have struggled every time we have tried to match Chelsea's 4-5-1. Crouch up front on his own is a BIG no-go for me against a defence as good as Chelsea. Crouch gives Terry (and particularly Carvallo) a few problems but he often gets isolated with no-one running beyond him to get on the end of flick-ons. I wasn't the biggest Baros's biggest fan last season but he did give the team MOBILITY (despite a poor goals return) as the lone forward, he worked the channels well and pulled the centre backs all over the show despite being out-numbered. Crouch is bit of sitting duck up front on his own, he causes some problems but for me he is far more effective with a strike partner to help shoulder some of the burden. Crouch is a lot easier to defend when he is the ONLY striker you have to keep your eyes (you could hardly have them on anything else!) on.

As for three at the back. The downside is it might disrupt our excellent off-side trap but i was very impressed with the performance at St.James Park a month ago when Rafa fielded a 3-?-? formation. I didn't really have a clue (did anyone) but it looked more like 3-6-1 than anything. I feel a similar approach could be just the ticket against a Chelsea team who (let's be honest here) have looked comfortable against us baring the odd 20 minute spell.

The head-to-head results simply do not reflect the fact that overall, we have dominated them, only for spinless refs and poxy goals against the run of play to hand the cheating b*stards the games.

Who won the CL?
Who finished top of our CL group this season, despite those dirty c*nts being in it?
Who has class?
Which team doesn't cheat?

Certainly not those f*cking tw*ts.

Come on lads, let's give the chav w*nkers what for. Let's show them our true form, our spirit, our passion and our f*cking determination to beat the living sh*t out of the lot of them.
The spinless, diving, leg-breaking, arrogant, ignorant f*cking c*ckheaded whining b*stards.

COME ON LIVERPOOL - WIN. WIN. WIN!

SHOW THE HORRIBLE C*NTS WE ARE THE BEST!

Before anyone jumps the gun and has a go at me, this is a forum which allows for opinion!

Personally, I hate to admit it and I would love to be proved wrong more than anything in the world, but I just realistically cant see us beating chelsea in the semi's

I think a major problem for us tomorrow will be scoring goals, without fowler we dont have a predator who can put away a half chance, chances are crouch will be up front on his own and will be isolated (as seen against man utd at home in the league, and against chelsea in all previous meetings) he is easier to mark on his own, rafa doesnt have faith in cisse so i cant see cisse starting, nando couldnt score in a brothel this season so it makes no difference if he plays or not! therefore we are heavily reliant on the likes of gerrard, garcia and kewell nicking us a goal, gerrard will have his work cut out for him  in the midfield battle (gudjohnson out n essians a doubt, cud be good news) kewell hasnt done the business against chelsea at all, and garcia may not even start even though he does come up with some vital goals for us at times!

Our defence will be key as we will have to keep out those cnuts joe cole n robben from the wings (or joe cole from central midfield if essien is out) and that diving fcuker drogba, and thats without worrying about crespo who can be lethal, and has proved against us in the past!

I have faith in rafa that we can get a grip on the midfield but our defence will need to be at the very very best to keep out chelski, my major concern however is where if we are to win (and fingers crossed we hockey the fcukers) is where our goal or goals are going to come from???

as i say dont shoot me, il be cheering as loud as i can and living every minute of the match like it was the most important ever but although i have faith in us shutting them out, i just cant see where the goal has come from! at the end of the day results and stats matter, we've scored once against them this season in four games played!  :(

me cant see us scoring 4m open play either..... hope we can nick it in penalties........Wish SG FINALLY stands by the promise he made in the beginning of the season ("U'LL SEE A NEW SG:p ") and delivers a humangous performance........Cud do with a win to cheer me up and inspire me atm.

In fairness, SG has delivered this season and anyone who thinks otherwise hasnt seen enough of him, he has 19 goals??? so far this season and has been very consistent and a driving force for us, he played wide right when we were stuck and hence turned himself into the best right midfielder in the league, the only reason certain people think he isnt as good as last year is cos other players have stepped up to the plate and are delivering quality consistent performances! SG is still a colossus for us, but maybe sometimes he hasnt proved his true worth against some of the bigger teams, heres hoping that changes tomorrow!

Yeah i meant to say in my last post 'from open play', i cant see us scoring from open play tomoorow, if we shut them out we cud get lucky n nick it, but its a serious mountain to climb for us to do it ???
