Kewell or zenden

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

If you want a player that can put beautiful crosses into the box, then Zenden's your man.  But if you want a player that can score goals, play in other positions and do more things other than just crossing the ball, then Kewell's your man.  So guys, what do you prefer, Kewell or Zenden.

Ok this is a topic, but what would you like to discuss?

I mean seriously, put some thought into your first post. structure it so that is will encourage debate or invite peoples input. Your first post just leaves me in despair.

Assuming you are asking who i'd prefer, then its Kewell.

After his performances this season it has to be Kewell. Hands down!

From my point of view..

Zenden's gonna find it hard to earn a place in the starting eleven.

Its always hard to find a good patch of form coming back from an injury.

And with Kewell showing glimpses of what he is really capable of I think Zenden will find himself starting most games on the bench unless Kewell suffers a dip in form or succumbs to another injury.

In short, its Kewell for me and unless Zenden can recover and turn himself into the player he was at Middlesborough its pretty clear who the first choice for left midfield should be.

It's unfair to judge. Zenden has played a handful of games this season then he got injured. Kewell meanwhile has just comeback and is showing some good form and looking more like the kewell we knew at Leeds, although that is still a way off. I think since they are all part of the squad they are all squad players. Rafa will swap and rotate them next season. But with Gonzalez coming. I think Rafa may move Zenden inside to just behind the striker/s, sort of what Luis Garcia does.

It will be interesting to see what exactly Rafa has in mind.

For me it took Zenden ages to settle and even then i think he only really had 2 or 3 good games. I remember when he first came he was constantly running into opposition for no reason or giving the bal away.

Id prefer Kewell by a mile. He getting back to his old self and we all know if hes having a good day he can score brilliant goals.

Where as with Zenden we have a now average player who used to be good at one time. And even then when he was at his best he played in the centre. Where as at Liverpool there is no room in the centre for him so he is forced out to the left. Hi wages cant be that much and I cant see him kicking up a fuss even if he doesnt play that much next season.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

why's everybody jumping on this lad's topic? i've seen a whole lot worse from new and old members alike  ???

personally i'd be inclined to go for kewell on current form as i think his game is perhaps a bit more diverse than bolo's, although to be fair i'd like to see more of him before i say one way or the other. as taff says i'd love to have them both at the club and use them both on a regular basis

If Mark Gonzalez and Aurelio come in the summer I see no room for Zenden.

kewell every time zenden was brought in as cover anyway.

as for zenden coming inside and luis being sold i think that is quite a good shout.

we would get a good price from a spanish team for garcia as he has broken into the national team and played well in the champions league but rafa knows that he is a bit lightweight for the prem

he hasn't featured heavily in rafas plans this season with even cissie being used on the right instead,

luis best position is in the hole causing mayhem and coming on to crosses late( amazing how many headers he wins) but we aren't going to use him there because SG will be used there when we have some width

all in all thanks for the memories and cheers for the profit luis good time to sell imo

I totally agree with you there adamnbarrett. It is unfair to judge coz Zenden very little for us, and its always going to be difficult for a player to get use to a new club straight away, he needed time to settle in and start to gell with the squad but that has been hampered since he has got injured.

Kewell though has been superb this season for us, espically after all the injures he's had. I thought after the CL final his days where numbered, esp as he had mucked Rafa around, but give him credit he's bounced back and showed super form for us.

When both of them are fit and with Gonzalez arriving in the summer, and don't forget Riise who can play there as well, its goin to be very interested to see where Rafa plays them all.   ???

Question - how can you start a topic? do you have to have posted a certain number of posts before you can submit a brand new topic? Also how do u add pictures to signatures?
