Yeah I thought that too when I first heard the question - But England have only been in 3 world cups since the 1990s started - in 1990 the Forest boys were still top flight, the next WC England were in was 1998 and most of the decent Forest squad (including Pearce) were pretty much past it as far as International football goes...
