I just believe we could sign better wingers than Gonzalez that's all, I'd prefer it if we had SWP or Joaquin here. Who can offer us more than Gonzalez.

Cool Hand Luke - Is everyone who doesn't agree with you a Man Utd supporter then? Kinda sad really isn't it that you brand supporters "Mancs" when they do you not agree with you. And if you were not ignorant and read my posts that I make you would know I am as much a Liverpool supporter as you are.

:no

SWP & Joaquin are both right sided wingers, Gonzalez is left... Though we do need a quality right winger too, Simao or Joaquin would do nicely :D

The lad looks good from what i've been watching the spanish footy on sky, I just hope he lives up to the hype hes been getting recently after his performance against Real Madrid which to be fair he did have a good game and the c*ck up from Casillas was a bonus which he made sure he scored from.

There seems to be a lot of hype when a player joins Liverpool but this lad is highly rated by Rafa and the chief scouts which means a lot more to me than Houllier saying Cheyrou is the next Zidane and Diao the next Veira etc...

Bring him on in the summer!

Why would we possibly care about Oasis not rating Gonzalez? Half the league has taken good note of the new Liverpool signing, I think he has boosted his value 2 times since he arrived.

Today's game was very difficult. Racing making lot of faults, with the defence line up and giving few spaces. The ref allowed their constant faults, forgetting about the fact that a yellow card can be shown if a player repeats constantly fouls.

It was a tough game to play, and his awareness gave us points once again. Hope to bring the goal to you soon, what a volley, absolutely brilliant.

I just believe we could sign better wingers than Gonzalez that's all, I'd prefer it if we had SWP or Joaquin here. Who can offer us more than Gonzalez.

Well I know both better than you do, I think. And I think that Gonzalez is a more interesting player, his pace is second to none, and his long shots are much better than Joaquin's. Add  to that free kicks and good corners, not to mention loads more defensive work than the Betis player, and you have a more interesting player than Joaquin, and cheaper. Joaquin is very good and showy on dribling, would be a better player to make a video, but Mark gives lots of details to a team that are not shown in highlights.

And not to mention he plays on the other wing, as someone has already mentioned. I don't understand your complains Oasis, though I won't say you're a wind up merchant. I hardly could believe his progress could be ANY better if we look in which condition he came to SnSn, after 10 long months injured. I cannot think of a better commitment for a player who after all, is on loan, and could perfectly care only about his future.

Of course goals are the best detail that people takes note when is rating a player. But take also good note of a detail, he has  provoked 3 yellow card per game to the opposition, in the last 5 games. When your team is pressed and well deep, he makes one of his runs, and the opposition can only abort it with a yellow card tackle. That's bloody important, because you change the routine of the game, and you make the opposition think twice before stepping up the pressure line.

I can understand you wanting SWP cos he is a good young player but to be honest I thing MG is going to be a b8r player than Joacquin!!  Plus Joacquin would cost way to much ( b8r off letting the Chelski Scum pay over the odds for him) and we can have MG.

Look at the goals m8........look at the reviews.....he has been the best player for RS this season by far and you dont rate him.  Just wanted to know what kind of football u watch cos this guy is class and also looks very promising for the future..........also if you read his interviews you can tell he is passionate about the game and wants to do well.

Just a point

the more i see of this lad the more excited i get.i just wonder if we could accomodate both him and kewell in the same team .

i remember kewell playing well before in the hole for leeds but don't think he's ever played there for us has he?

could also mean we have another option up front.

I agree, the lad looks class, he is doing the business in la liga and not just against the smaller teams, he was brilliant against real madrid last week, and is practically single handedly saving sociedad! His interviews are top notch as well, he seems an extremely determined guy! I hope he is able to join up with us in the summer cos his pace and power can be a brilliant attacking threat next season and something different from what we have, kewel is more trickery and a bit of a laid back attacking approach, gonzales seems to take the game by the neck and powers forward, whilst also working his balls off to get back and help out defending!

If we had not have had a deal set up already for him his price would be up around the £10 million mark now cos I reckon the likes of barca and chelsea would be sniffing around him!

No chance of that now. We own him 100% as far as I know. He just cant play here yet. I wonder how this season might have turned out if he was playing with us.
