Tassie Devil FAQ

Peewee, they are nocturnal so are very rarely seen in the wild but you can hear them of a night if you are camping out (scares the sh.it out of you the first time it happens).

They are carnivors and prefer deceased prey such as road kill (they are often seen dead on the side of the road).

They look cute is a quirky (feral) kind of way but don't have too many endearing habits (stink, bad breath, horrible sound...but hey Judge can score himself a bird so why not the humble Tassie Devil...   :D )

Hey LH
Werent they suffering some sort of plaque which was killing them off. I thought i saw something about it on news not so long ago or was that usual media blown out of proportion stuff

There is some form of virus/cancer that is affecting the devils. They have put it down to a lot of the :censored: the forrestry use to kill off wildlife (1080, etc.) but there is also a human component (transmission of virus) I believe. Poor little buggers

Devil's disease

You'll need a strong stomach just to look at this.

Lesson to Englishman and others- Tasmania is a little island off Australia, its not actually a part of Australia. Most people from Tasmania are what we call 'inbred', they sleep with their family members.  :D

Yeah, I was just saying to your mother and sister when we were in bed the other night....

:wwww    :rasp

Actually he's not that far from the truth. I came to Tasmania to improve the gene pool.

There's only one place that has greater inbreeding than Tasmania and that's where most of us came from...Britain!!!   :D :D

Why would you want to improve the gene pool? You'd already lost the battle before you went

Tops on the site. Been reading it for ages but haven't really signed up until now.
Would love to come over to England and watch the brilliant Liverpool play. I would love to sit in the Kop but i wouldn't because i'll leave that to the 'locals'. Down here, we are having a real problem with people sitting in The Cove (Sydney Fc, just like The Kop but alot smaller) just because they think it is cool.

Yeah, they're attracted to the smell, very much like a Mancunian in Europe.
