I agree with you Erica about Joaquin! he is inconsistant! sure he has some good skills and can terrorize defence, but sometimes he cuts through defenders and then he gets lost with the ball!! he isn't playing well atm. I don't think we need him really

I think Torres will realize his full potential only when he joins a big club.
Will that be LFC ..... i dont know,but surely hope so.

It's quite obvious that you barely know who he is and your basing your Torres-lust on the fact that you "think" he will realise his full potential?

He's a good player, who lots of others want and though I wouldn't mind signing him, if the price was right, I think Sabre has illustrated the problem perfectly. And not that I'm comparing the 2, but didn't Gerrard Houllier "think" Djimi Traore would reach their full potential at Liverpool?

There are better strikers out there with better goals per game ratios, better physical strength, some with premiership experience and they could probably be bought for a lot less.

Like I said, He's good and "potentially" he could be great, but so could a lot of others, all of which would be a) more likely to come and b) would be better suited to us.

No. I don't like Valencia neither, and I'd love to have Villa here.

Did you see him play at the Nou against Barcelona? Any complaints about that performance or his goals?

He is the only player I've seen this year give the form team in Europe a football lesson, and on their own turf

I WOULD SAY NO AS HE'S TOO LIGHTWEIGHT AND HE WOULD NOT SCORE IN HIS FIRST 6 MONTHS BECAUSE OF THE PHYSICALITY OF THE PREMIERSHIP WITH TEAMS LIKE BOLTON AND NEWCASTLE.
BETTER OPTION WOULD BE DARREN BENT AND THE YAK FROM THE BORO.

I'm still unsure about Darren Bent. If he's still got it next season, he would make a good January buy. I'd take Yakubu though. He's wasted at Boro and would suit our style of play better.

well, i remember reading somewhere that torres had a problem in la liga...something to do with physicality of La Liga. If he's having problem there, he's definitely going to struggle in the premiership.
We need somebody like Villa not torres.However, at the moment, it seems impossible to get the guy.

That's the problem.

I'd rate our chances of signing him a damn site higher if he'd played under Beni at Valencia, but even then - the board fell out with Rafa when he left, I do believe.

But don't forget Mori is still regarded as a legend in Spain.

I think if Villa were to tell his gaffer that he wanted to join LFC, we'd get him for that deal.

(I doubt very much he WILL say that, though!)

I'd rather us sign Villa, and get a different RW than miss out on a striker made for our team.
