That will have been their recent league match against West Ham, I believe.  Some crackin' goals (Speed's bicycle kick was the pick of the bunch) but, to be honest, West Ham were very poor on the day (Pardew fielded a makeshift team--Anton Ferdinand played in central midfield--because they had a midweek FA Cup match coming up, also against Bolton :D ).

But I digress...

I like us for another 2-0 win.  Same side as at West Brom with Gerrard in place of Cisse.  Goals for Gerrard (penalty) and Garcia in a super-sub role.

As an aside...people seem to think this is our toughest test during the run-in but I'm more concerned about the following week's trip to Blackburn.  They're playing well, in the mix for 4th place and the injuries we've collected on their patch the last two seasons have been horrendous!  :help

Reina

     Finnan            Carragher         Hyypia       Riise

     Gerrard           Hamann       Alonso        Kewell

                      Crouch                (Garcia ?Fowler)

I would put Garcia to start and use fowler about 60-65 mins in.
Yes I do think this one will be harder for us but there is no reason why we can’t win it.
Ill go for 1or2.0.
I think Bolton are going to make it hard for us this game

We have four class central midfielders already and yet you want us to add someone else? I take it you're one of these people who is never satisfied? Alonso, Sissoko, Hamman and Gerrard, need I say more?

Nolan is a class player but we don't need him, Gerrard is 10x times the player Nolan is or can be.

Well, how long has Hamann left? And did you ever here of cover? It's all about squads now, not just playing your strongest 11 every 3 days!!
Nolan would excel wearing the red!!

Hamann hasn't showed any signs of losing ability or mobility, so who knows, your guess is as good as mine. I've heard of cover but Nolan won't drop a first team starting place with Bolton to be little more than squad player at Liverpool. No one with half a brain would do such a stupid thing.

I would excel wearing a Liverpool shirt? What's your point?

Normally i would have this down as a tough test for Liverpool but Bolton's form hasnt been that great of late. I'll go for 2-0 at fortress Anfield.:)

My point is, and I'm open to correction on this, but Nolan is a red! Take that into account, and the fact he's (again IMO) an excellent player, full of confidence! I think he'd fancy his chances of forcing regular first team appearances! It would be great to have another local lad dying for the cause!!
I just think he'd be a good signing for us and would add considerably to our options!
As regards him not willing to give up guaranteed first team football... Well with very few exceptions, players know that when they sign for the big teams, they are not going to play 90 minutes of every game! Have a good look at him at the week end, and tell me then that he wouldn't be a good signing!
ok?

Our home form has served us well this season and I see no reason for us to lose this game. Bolton are hardly the team the well a few months ago and inversely we are hitting the form similar to the end of last year. I expect either a 2-0 or 3-1. In fact i'm going to put a fiver on each.

Gerrard should be fresher than anyone else on the team considering he has only played 17 minutes in the last 2 games. Insprire us!

Its seem like the connection between Cisse and the GOD works very well even better than with Mori and PC.

If they play together again , I think we will win more 3:0.

Since it's at home, Rafa should adopt an attacking game.. But not by placing Cisse on the right wing for sure.. Ahakz.. Playing a 4-4-2 diamond with God or Nando as the attacking midfield is good.. Cheers..

If we win and spurs lose they cant catch us

well... mathmatically they still could... but it wouldnt be likely.

If we win we'd be on 70 points. 15 ahead of spurs (if they lose) but they would have 7 games left (a possible 21points)
so it would still be possible... but not likely

its more arsenal we have to watch out for behind us as they are picking up form and have 2 games in hand against us.

Saying that though, we just need to focus on our games not worry about teams below. (and just keep fingers crossed for arsenal, spurs and chelski all beating manure
