Smith kissing his badge just as he's about to walk through the door was a bit much for me.

Too much of this empty bulls#it creeping into the game. Who do they think they are fooling?

thats like when tewddy first left spurs and said he was only leaving coz he wanted to win a medal.. then later on spurs took him back and made him captain!!! its madness
thats the only reason ive got even an ounce of respect for rooney... altho now i said that whats the odds he goes in the summer? lol

Every player in the game will walk if a better offer (either financially or bigger/better club comes along). Rooney is staying at Everton because he needs a couple of years to learn his trade before being a big money transfer to a top club.

Smith loves Leeds so much he won't play division 1 football with them.

If Real Madrid offer Owen £100k per week and a guarantee that he'll play beside Ronaldo or Raul every week with Zidane behind him, he'd be gone in a flash.
