My first game was Liverpool V Spurs and was stood right behind the goals in the KOP

John Parrott had just beat Jimmy White in some final think it was the world championship and he came on the pitch before the game. And like him we stuffed the cockneys.:D

I can still think of the excitment when i sang YNWA for the first time. Oustanding

hmm, now I feel old. Admittedly Ive have probably been to see about 2 Liverpool matches, the one I do remember was Ian Callaghan's testimonial match in the 77/78 season.

But to share a story, when I lived in Liverpool, at around the age of 4-5, probably 73/74, my Mum, Brother and myself were walking down to Stanley Park, both in our Liverpool Kits.  As we were waiting to cross the road a car pulls up and the window winds down
'Where you off to lads'

'Were going to the park'

'well have fun, you'll never go wrong wearing red'

The car drives away leaving us all with our jaws on the floor, God had just said hello to us in a scottish accent, It was Shanks.

only been at 2 anfield games. The first was fulham last season. Morientes scored a dinger of a header. hyypia and baros scored to as did andy cole for fulham. we won 3-1.

My 2nd time was more memorable beacause of the atmosphere but not the scoreline as we were beaten 4-1. Was sitting in the 3rd row of the centenary stand right where stevie g did his wild celebration after he scored which was f.ucking buzzin! :p
Steve Gerrard Gerrard,
He'll pass the ball 40 yards,
He's quick and he's f*cking hard,

Well I live in Cornwall right in the South West and I'm only 16 so I have yet to see them play, despite this being my tenth year of supporting them. Even if I could go to see one of the remaining games this season though, I wouldn't because I want my first visit to be at one of the Europeon games next season.

(obviously assuming we don't :censored: up our league position or even worse...do what Everton did last year!)

Match: Liverpool Vs Middlesbrough
Venue: Anfield
Date: 2nd May 2004
Result: 2-0 (Murphy & Heskey)

It was my first ever visit to Liverpool & to Anfield. I sat in the Main Stand end to the corner of Anfield Road end.

It was a mixed atmosphere & I could only hear the KOP very vocalistic. The Main & Centenary stands were very quiet. Middlesbrough fans were so vocal & hurling all kinds of verbal abuse towards the Main stand - our home fans just stood there taking all the abuse & did not react  - I managed to hurl verbal abuse but the Stewards were quick on their way to tell me not to provoke - . I was shocked to not hear a single "Youll Never Walk Alone" song being sung by any fans (during the whole of the game - except before kickoff) - expecially when Liverpool were comfortablely winning 2-0 as well.

Can't remember the year but it was with the cubs and we went agaist oxford when aldo was playing for them and we sat in the anfield rd end we battered them about 6-0 i think, i was already a fan because my older brother used to go with his mates and stand on the kop but that was my first taste of anfield.

I still get shivers even now walking up the stairs and looking out over the ground, it will never be as goood as when i was a kid going and standing on the kop though.

my first game on the kop was spurs in the fa cup i was 11 and me and my best mate caught the bus from queensferry (in wales) and went on the biggest adventure a 11 could go on, the kop in full voice, i was sold for life, and no matter how quite anfield can be now(wba at home) i will always remember that day of not knowing any of the song and hardly being able to see, but loving every fecking second of it  :D  it was worth the beating my mum gave me, and all the games after getting taller and wiser on the kop stuggle to compare to that night game so many years ago

great thread mate

I remember the first time i went i was only 5 and i went to a reserves match against hull city and i was amazed because i first saw this person( didnt have a frigin clue who he was ) but he played amazing and i was absolutley astonished at his goal that he scored it was fantastic but i missed a goal because i said to my dad i needed the toilet and i missed it when the players came out of the tunnel my dad put me on his shoulders and i was deafened by the noise but it was great.

a few days later i saw this fella again on the news and i said to my dad whos he?

and he answered KENNY DALGLISH   and from then until now he was my hero !!!
