Well it seems almost surreal that we've actually had a week off in the lead up to this game, which i suppose is a good thing (even if watching the CL last night did make me feel a bit empty as a fan).

Gerrard is suspended for this one after getting sent off against Everton last week but this shouldn't harm our chances too much. We proved last week and in the past that we're perfectly capable of playing and winning without him and I expect the same at the Hawthorns.

It will be interesting to see who plays down the right hand side. My money would be on Kromkamp seeing as we're away from home. Garcia must also be pushing for a start alongside Crouch upfront.

However whatever the team I expect a 2-0 and another 3 points in our quest for second spot.

I am presuming Riise and Momo are fit, they both featured in the game last weekend so I would go with:

I like to see a attacking formation like the one seen against Birmingham, something like:

Finnan Carragher Hyypia Riise

Garcia Sissoko Alonso

Cisse Morientes Fowler

Never tried. Maybe too risky at this stage of the season but no one can deny the potential firepower

Fowler has to start having been underused in recent weeks. We must win this one and indeed all of the next three to stand any chance of catching the mancs. I can't see them dropping much more than 8-10 points so we have little margin for error. If we hit 80 points and come third then we can be disappointed but at least rest easy knowing that equals our biggest points tally in a long while

to be honest, despite some tricky games, i can't see why we shouldn't go unbeaten from now until the end of the season, chelsea included. you certainly couldn't ask for a much better run-in in the premiership as there are no games that aren't winnable. compare this with manure who have to play arsenal at home and also have to go to spurs, chelsea and bolton.

as you say, fowler should start this game. he must be chomping at the bit in recent weeks and at the end of the day the only way he'll get fully fit is by playing.

The great thing is that from the Everton game onwards we have a weeks break between every game. We will only have to play one midweek game, the West Ham game that has yet to be rearranged.

So rotation due to tiredness will not be an issue, also, because Steven Gerrard is suspended for the game against West Brom, it means he gets 2 weeks without a game, so he will be fresh and stay fresh for our remaining games.

Our run in doesn’t look very difficult, we don’t have to face Chelsea, Man Utd, Tottenham or Arsenal. The toughest games there are Blackburn away and possibly Portsmouth away if they need to win to stay up. Apart from that we should defiantly expect to win our remaining Premiership games, we could even win our remaining 6 Premiership games. If we manage to break the 80 point mark it will be a remarkable achievement.

there's certainly a few goals there for us in this game if we want them. on our last two visits to the hawthorns we've won 6-0 and 5-0 if i'm not mistaken.

I defo agree with St.mich and CHL on this one. We can go on an unbeaten run till the end of the season because we do have the quality to do that! the only fixture that will worry me is the blackburn fixture!!!!

Don't think this team will be far out, looks pretty good to me, apart from think Kronkamp will play on the right bit more solid, spec away from home.

agree tho would add bolton into the mix of tough games. i know it is at home but bolton are never an easy side to play against.

Despite Bolton being a good side, I would expect us to beat them at home, especially since they haven’t won away from the Reebok since December.

We should win this match...but it won't be a 5-0 or 6-1 thrashing. Think it will be pretty close.

If (when) we win this match...the 3rd positon will be more or less ours. So we can concerntrate on getting past chelsea in the FA cup.

The way arsenal are playing in europe.....good luck to the team which finishes 4th

Right. I think WBA could spring the suprise we always succumb to.

I think we really need to approach this game in the right manner, otherwise we could get cocky and lose.

I'd go for the following team:

Reina
JC Sami Agger
Kromkamp Riise
Sissoko
Alonso Kewell
Crouch
Fowler.

This team should beat them out of sight, with Garcia entering the fray after about 60 minutes.
