I have heard of these new cards but like the Nvidia Quattro, they are work station cards for CAD and for games developers, and would be prohibitively expensive for home users. Also, I'm not sure what the story is with drivers and whether they use the same drivers ATI releases for its desktop cards.
ATI released another great card recently, the X1900XTX, which is about 20% faster than mine and is the current daddy. There are huge strides being made at the moment.
