Theres no way on this planet Everton can score Versus us.

They may be in decent form, but they were last season before they came to Anfield and they talked a good game then.

What happened? we totally bossed the game from start to finish. I expect the same to happen this time.Expect a good passing show by LFC, and bemusement by the blue scum.

They will not get a kick.

score....3-0

I think it will be a close one this time. Both teams are in excellent form although playing at Anfield is a BIG advantage for the Reds. I'm delighted Sissoko is back and hope we will see Gerrard out on the right/roaming again as we have lost that balance since he moved back to the middle. Have to agree that this one has a Robbie goal written all over it but Crouch must also play for me although the boss has tended to play Robbie alongside Morientes up till now.

I fancy a 2-1 win in this one. Maybe 1-1 if we haven't got our shooting boots on.

They are a sad club...because they are in the shadows of a great club in the same city.

If Gollum goes to Newcastle, they'd be even sadder and perhaps br fighting to prop up the Premiership!

This'll make you all smile and provide Ciggy with some ammo..

In the last 5 years, we've played the BS 9 times so far with 4 wins, 2 losses and 3 draws scoring 12 and coinceding 8.  A goals for/against ratio of 3:2

If we extend that to the last ten years, we get 7 wins, 5 losses and 9 draws with 24 goals for, 19 against - roughly 5:4 (note that these are rolling totals).

Stretching again to 15 years, we've had 10 wins to 8 with 11 draws. Scoring 34 and conceding 31.

Over the last 20 years it's 16 wins, 9 losses and 14 draws outscoring the bitters 4:3 with 51 goals for and 39 against.

Moving on to 25 years worth of good times at the blues expense, we see 21 wins, 12 losses and 16 draws increasing our goals for/against ratio slight with a tally of 69 for and 48 against. (13:9)

The 1st "Great Win" according to the BS DVD in 1978 was their only other win in the last 30 years. snigger snigger....  and put in perspective means that 8 of their last 13 wins made the DVD!!!! :D We had 4 more wins in that time to take us to 25 wins, 13 losses and 21 draws during the past 30 years.

Over the last 30 years our home record has been most impressive, 14 wins - 4 losses, 11 draws with 42 goals for and 24 against.

Perhaps the DVD should have been called "Reasons to be Bitter - Volume 1".  :eyebrow

And my favourite piece of trivia which I didnt realise until today is

"When Liverpool won the league title in 1964 they had to be presented with a papiermache trophy because Everton who were the Champions the season before refused to give up the trophy. "

How bitter can you get?

I think too that this weekend's game will be the 100th competive match against the BS at home - can anyone confirm that?

Err... in answer to my own question - no its not, of the 99 games I thought we'd played at home so far at least two were Cup finals held of course at Wembley.. For the record, The Reds have won all three domestic finals we've played against the bitters - the 1984 Milk Cup, 1986 FA Cup and 1989 FA Cup. We also won the Screen Sport Super Cup 5-4 on aggregate.

Thanks to Liverweb for the raw data for these stats

Letter to the echo reguarding what happened to the friendly derby.

Bitter blue wrote:

Read the article trying to inspire the return of the friendly derbies, I think that the shower in red across the park and the Echo themselves should take a long hard look at themselves. The reason that these matches are now so volitile is that you would think there is only one team in this city, the bias towards them is unbelievable, proven with the campain to get them into the champions league when then didn't qualify, thus taking the rewards and pleasure away from everton fans.

Even after they take a sound beating when getting knocked out you the echo instead of reporting this come up with the headline regarding there fans at the match and how they are the best in the world...yawns...the incident with the missile throwing and the attack on the ambulance would have gone unoticed only for small murmours spreading. I for one hope the derby remains as it is and don't care what the echo of lfc (small letters) think, all evertonians are now waiting for the sh.ite to finish fourth and arsenal to win the big one for you lot to start your moaning and get the rules changed once again in their favour.

Seriously you just could'nt make up this sh.ite could you? How pathetic the F.A. done them a bloody favour by not throwing them into the UEFA Cup after we won the bloody thing ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH :veryangry
