CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE VS BITTERBLUES - all the build up here

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I really would love to tonk these bitter sh.ites everywhere, the best team on Merseyside my @rse.
Fowler will be really up for this one, we have our own lads that can get stuck in now.
Remember last season 4 injuries within 20 minutes, they wont be booting the sh.ite out of us this time around.
God I hate them with a passion this is our derby not Man U, Arteta their best player is a doubt and another two of their players, but I want to beat them at full strength and see that little knob Timmy the kangaroo he needs a taste of his own medicine step up Didi Hamann and Momo Sissoko   :D
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Kenny Dalglish 1/2/2011

REST IN PEACE PHIL, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.

If we going to play like the one that we beat Brimingham, I think that we going to beat Neverton 5:0.

I dunno, the form book goes out the window in a derby and the bitters have won a few games of late. I'd still back us to win though but I think it will be a closer match than people think.

all i've heard over the last few weeks is how great everton, inparticular james beattie is playing. well who have they played? fulham, villa and man city. i'm sorry but beattie playing upfront on his own against the meanest defence in the premiership will get no joy whatsoever. infact i'll be very surprised if everton score. we're a far superior team who are high on confidence.

yes i know form goes out of the window in derby games but if everton are going to get anything they're going to have to produce their best performance of the season. crouch is back on the goal trail, sissoko is back with a vengeance and gerrard is playing out of his skin.

Time for a song:

Oh bitterness, bitterness
The only thing the blues possess,
I thank the lord that I’ve been blessed,
With none of the blueshite bitterness….

To me this world is a wonderful place,
A red and white glow all over my face,
I feel so good to be alive,
European cups, oh we’ve got five….

(chorus)

The bitters were living in a land of dreams,
“you’ll lose if you ever face a decent team”
But Juventus, Chelsea and Milan tried,
They all got beat so the blueshite cried….

(chorus)

At half time AC thought they had us beat,
The blueshite were dancing in the North Wales streets,
But Stevie G played like a man possessed,
So all they’ve got now is their bitterness….

(chorus)

They said Milan Baros was offside,
They say Steven Gerrard took a dive,
They say Jerzy Dudek shouldn’t have no pride,
But they’ve got none and we’ve got FIVE….

(chorus)

Oh bitterness, bitterness,
The only thing that they possess,
If it wasn’t for Heysel they would be the best,
But they prefer living in bitterness.

They'll be shi.tting themselves after our last few results...and rightly so!!

The fact is we WILL beat them on Saturday,im sure of that!
The thing is though its gonna be a different type of game than our last 3..a hell of a lot more physical for a start!
Not taking anything away from our boys, but being honest our last 3 opponents have been terrible!
Fulham played better than the 5-1 sounds but were still deservedly beaten!
Newcastle, erm well the defence?one word Boumsong..enough said there!
As for Brum..well they looked beaten 1 minute into the game and i cant remember a more 1 sided game in a long long time!!

Everton albeit sh.ite..will be a bit more of a game!Im sure there will be some blood and thunder on Saturday but im sure that any man with a bit of sense would put their house on a win for the Red Men!!

2-0 for me!!
Also a great excuse for an early drinking session!! :nod  :buttrock

COME ON THE POOL!!!!!

Steven Gerrard has issued a derby warning to Merseyside rivals Everton after his side's 7-0 demolition of Birmingham City on Tuesday night.

Liverpool have now scored 15 times in three matches after managing only 15 goals in their previous 16 games.

Peter Crouch, Fernando Morientes, Dijbril Cisse and Robbie Fowler, had scored just one goal between them in 51 hours before the 5-1 victory over Fulham last Monday.

But following the 3-1 Premiership victory over Newcastle at St James' Park, and the mauling of Birmingham, Gerrard is more than happy to continue the scoring run against the Toffees at Anfield on Saturday.

"I was listening to some of the Everton players saying they were happy to be coming to Anfield full of confidence," he said.

"But it's the same for us now, and that makes the derby a lot more interesting.

"We've been criticised for not scoring goals of late but hopefully we have proved the critics wrong. We were really pleased with our performance at Birmingham."

As the teams meet for the 203rd time, his comments will add extra spice to what is traditionally a high pressure occasion, and Gerrard feels the Reds are finally getting the rub of the green they deserve.

"Nothing has changed in terms of why we're suddenly scoring goals. I just think we're getting more luck now.

"We've always been playing well but the strikers haven't been having much luck. Now they're starting to go in and we're delighted."
