I agree, I think this game has Fowler written all over it (not sure about a hat-trick but here’s hoping!). It kind of relates to a poll that was on here a little while ago where some suggested that Carragher was an excellent player who put in world class performances because he’s playing for Liverpool, and that he perhaps wouldn’t be world class in any other team.  I think Fowler used to be world class, but is now a decent player who gives us options

However I think we will get more from Fowler that any other team would get from him. Every player is going to be fired up for the derby, but Fowler has so much to fight for and every reason to stretch every sinew in his body to pull out the goods. He’s back at Liverpool, looking for a contract for next year, 1 goal away from beating Daglish’s all time goal scoring record, and playing the Bluenoses next.

If I was a betting man I’d have some money on Fowler getting booked for an over zealous calibration, and Moyes looking pretty sick at the final whistle. Though as I say I’m not a betting man, and I doubt Ladbrokes would take ‘looking pretty sick’ as a bet anyway.
