Know what you mean, the whole Morientes thing has been winding me up for weeks with the cr@p that some people have written, but that's another story altogether - and did you notice my little stab at the doom n gloomers with my last comment?  :D

4-0 certainly ain't a poor result tho mate, I guess i'm just looking at it in a way to keeping our feet on the ground and not be over-confident with such a big game at the weekend.

Agreed that on current form, bar Chelsea, the rest of the pack look sh!te and we have an excellent chance of lifting the Cup. However, I don't think Chelsea will be in this 'slump' (by their standards) by the time we play them as it's a month to the Semi's at least. I just think, psychologically, the Final is the place to meet them for us and a great chance to finally do them (this season), in the spotlight, where it would hurt them the most (and finally, shut Jose up about Luis' goal!).

Hopefully, it will go to plan tomorrow however and the Geordie Dogs can get a result  :D

after morientes has scored his last two goals for us, he looked as though his dog has died. he didnt looked chuffed.

I think he knows he is on his way in the summer.

I hear what your saying Feeney - though I think it would be more humiliating for Jose not to even make the final...

if its already been answered i don't care cos there's too many posts to read right now! :p

8-0 Against Stoke in 2001 but against Premiership opposition it would be 7-1 against Soton in 2000 or 99 I think .....

The only negative thing I can honestly say for this game is that when Sami headed home, and Crouch scored number 2, they had so much time , to make a packed lunch it was untrue.

Sami could have tied his shoelaces before knocking that one in.

I don't know if that worked, if not then "http://www.kopites.net/fixtures0506.htm" is the URL for the kopites.net goals and highlights. They've only got Sami's goal and Crouch's, but there's Momo in his goggles, and Steve Bruce looking pretty sorry for himself  :)

7-0! Unbelievable, L-I-V-E-R-P-double O-L,
Liverpool FC   :buttrock

Edit - they now have all the goals, and more of Momo's googles.

though i truly believe we can/will beat chelsea i would rather see them lose to another team prior to us -- why?  it would just drive jose mad when we win the cup and he loses before us -- it would be beautiful -- he'd spew that we really didn't win it and he was cheated and we all can laugh at him

7-0 excellent excellent

in rafa we trust :rasp

What a difference the Fullham game made to the strikers!

If we had this confidence just some 2-3 weeks earlier, we'd stuff Benfica for sure and would still be in the CL last 8... Still, I am so happy that we're getting the results we deserve.

Fantastic game ..... could not believe that we can that many especially we had not done this for quite sometimes.... The good thing is all strikers scored.... THe luck is really on our side..... every time we had a chance on goal... it's either a deserved goal or lucky goal or donated goal...... had a good laugh......

I missed the game and was worried because we haven't done well against Brum recently. But what a revenge!! Just hope we can keep this up and bring home the CUP!! Go Reds Go!
