I don't think Moores will sell his holding in the club.......but it will be interesting to see how he's going to get a HUGE investment without doing so.

Got this from Wikipedia

Lakshmi Narayan Mittal (also known as Lakshmi Niwas Mittal) is a billionaire industrialist, born on 15 June 1950 in Sadulpur, in Churu district of Rajasthan, India, and residing in Kensington Palace Gardens, London, UK. He is currently (2006) ranked the 5th richest man in the world, according to Forbes Rich List, with a worth of $23.5 billion, behind the likes of Bill Gates, Warren Buffet and Carlos Slim Helú.

He spent his first years in Sadulpur, living with his extended family on bare concrete floors and rope beds in a house built by his grandfather. His family, from the Marwari Agarwal caste, was not prestigious. They eventually moved to Kolkata where his father, Mohan, became a partner in a steel company and made a fortune. Lakshmi graduated from St. Xavier's College in Kolkata with a business degree in 1969. His classmates knew him as a sharp student who was good with numbers.

In 1994, due to differences with his father and brothers, he branched out on his own, taking over the international operations of the Mittal steel business.

Today he is chairman and CEO of the Mittal Steel Company NV, which is the world's largest producer of steel, with steel assets in Romania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, South Africa, Poland, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, the United States, Ukraine and other countries. He was the Fortune European Businessman of the Year for 2004.

5th richest guy in the world! That's some serious money...  and the 60M wedding referred to earlier is apparently the most expensive in history. What a waste... these people live on a different planet.... surprising when he's known the other end of the spectrum too...

an estimated wealth of US$23.5 billion.

-raises an eyebrow-

Hmmmm.

-thinks-

Mr Mittal, let me introduce myself sir, I am Manhattan.

Please, let me take your coat and get you a drink.

I am your new best friend.

OK, have you seen the Allianz Arena?

Right, well I would like you to build one of those in Stanley Park, except with "Liverpool Football Club" written on the side.

And some new players would be nice too.

Oh yeah, and the Premiership trophy and the European Cup.

Cheers Mate.

I dont know where his name has popped up from but that wa th story when i saw it. I not saying he should tgryand takeover the club but perhaps an investment wouldnt be so bad.

So if he does become a major invester in our club...... who are we gonna buy ?  :D

1)David Villa
2)Joaquin
3)Ledley King
4)Joe Cole (just seeing the chelsea match....cole wasn't happy to be substituted in the 25th minute).

Can't wait for next season to start  :p

I'm baffled as to how a wedding can cost so much, I mean there's only so much you can do for a wedding!

I'll reserve judgement until there's concrete news about the investment.
