His 1st touch is decent and nowhere near as bad as some say it is

:wwww

Good one!!!!!  :wwww

Let's be serious for a moment, though:

Cisse has the control of an epileptic elephant, and yet offers a much higher goal threat to Morientes AND Crouch.

Perplexing!  :upside:  :D

i think if he had played as many games and minutes as crouch, and had the chance's that he has had he would have got far more goals, and yes he needs to change his atitude but lets be fair hes not a winger and playing him there will have the same affect it had with heskey he scored 21 goals for us in his first season then g.h thought i know lets play him on the wing and then wonders why hes not got the confidence if front of goal the same thing is happening again, he has not had the chances morrientes and crouch has had and thats a fact.

You make a fair point about Cisse likely to score more than Crouch if given the same amount of time up front.

But the consequence would be the midfield scoring less because the ball simply won't stay in the opposite half for long as Cisse can't hold the ball.

Not to also mention we would most likely concede more goals also in the process.

Cisse, as has been said, can trap a ball further than most can kick it.  His first touch is completely useless.  How can he have been the top scorer in the French League with control like that?

against benfica Gerrard i think pung a cross field ball and he cotrolled it like zidane .

That backs up my point kopite.  He has the ability, but needs the confidence.  Give him a chance or get rid, but it's no good putting him on for 20 minutes here and 10 minutes there, pushing him out to the right wing, then leaving him out...not many players could thrive under those conditions.

Cisse is a poor player 'n' he showed that against Benfica in midweek. His first touch is poor, his control on the ball is poor, he can't hit the target n now even his crossing is nothing short of woeful, I think we've been well and truly ripped off by Auxerre.

In response to the original post.. Cisse made a remarkable recovery from an injurythat treatened his career. Most important was his recovery physically for himeself and his family, and then for his livelihood.

But frankly the only thing he has shown is speed..gazelle-like, but there is no purpose to his play and in front of goal well.. just not good good enough or consistent.

The players that the Boss has released have not come back to haunt us .. Baros remains frustrating, Pogolle is the only on I regret he has let go, there is something about him..but whether he comes back is open to question.

Djib's attitude is also another problem, he does not strike me as a team player, but very much for himself. Until he becomes selfless, he'll continue to start on the bench..

I think if Rafa gives him 5 games in a row then he will prove to everyone that he is our best striker.

I firmly belive that he is far better than the other 3 we have.

Did the scouts actually watch this idiot before we payed so much for him??? Christ, he's woeful, not worth £4m, let alone the awful amout we lashed out! We were caught! I have absolutely no faith in him what-so-ever! I just know that when ever the ball is pumped out to him on the right, he'll attempt to cut past the left-back and cross from the line. If i was the left-back i wouldn't even tackle him, confident in the knowledge he can't cross his legs. Why risk a free or a corner when a goal kick will always result from his pathetic efforts!

I have said all along that I think Djibril can do a good job for us if givin a chance, and I mean a proper chance like starting games regularly and not 10 minutes at the end of a game.

People in my opinion have wrote him off and refuse to except he's a good player - judging by his performance where he had no confidence. I have seen moment's of pure brilliance from Djibril and it indicates he does have more skill, control and talent than people think. He's our second highest scorer behind Gerrard and scored more than all our other strikers with only a fraction of the games they have played. His last two performances have been excellent too, especially against Charlton where he made chances out of virtually nothing and only for two wonderful saves by the keeper would have been two goal's better off. His crossing has been a talking point too, but I noticed something in the last two games, the closer he get's to the by line the worse his crosses are, however some of the crosses he hit from about 25 yards out were pinpoint, but Crouch and other's made a hash of them, he honestly couldn't have put in any better ball's. When he came on against Benfica the other night he was the only one with passion, or rather showed any passion, he went ballistic and was furious with Benfica's time wasting tactic's.

It's about time Rafa gives him a chance as a striker and wield's the f*cking idiot Morientes off. I'd like to see how well any of our other striker's would do out on the wing and see if they get frustrated.

Yes, well you think everbody who disagrees with you is an idiot!! If you think Cisse is quality then fook off across the road and support Everton. If your deluded enough to think that Cisse deserves more time when the dogs on the street can see his short-comings, then you are the idiot!! If you're going to be abusive, at least choose a topic you have a chance of appearing correct with! Gobsh1te!!

Cisse? Give me a break, please ffs!!
