Sheffield Wednesday have completed the double signings of Scott Carson and Mikkel Bischoff.

Liverpool goalkeeper Carson and Manchester City defender Bischoff have signed one-month loan deals at Hillsborough.

Owls boss Paul Sturrock was keen to bolster his squad as he looks for his side to climb out of trouble at the wrong end of The Championship.

Carson is well down the pecking order at Anfield with Jose Reina and Jerzy Dudek ahead of him in Rafa Benitez's plans.

Bischoff has yet to establish himself at City and spent two spells on loan at Wolves last season.

Both players have signed in time to be included in Wednesday's squad for this weekend's clash with Queens Park Rangers.

Liverpool goalkeeper Scott Carson has joined Championship side Sheffield Wednesday on loan for a month. The deal is effective from today.
The 20-year-old travelled to Hillsborough today and final clearance should now come from the Premier League this afternoon. The former Leeds keeper will reinforce an Owls back line that has had only one senior goalkeeper since David Lucas injured his knee ligaments at Millwall last month. Carson has made nine appearances for the Reds, including two Champions League outings this season, and will wear number 22.

Well he wasn't playing, so it's a good move. He is better than them though.

i think it will do carson good to go out on loan it will give him more confandance
