Joe cole - Wouldn't he be great..

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I can definitely see Joe Cole blend in to our Liverpool side. He is quite pacey, has great ability with his feet and the ball, Great skill and techinque, flair player and  is determined to prove his point on the pitch. If he were to join us, he would make a perfect replacement for Diouf as Diouf is boll##ks anyway and cant score for s##t :p I see Joe Cole and a much more scoring threat.

For once I'm inclined to agree with old Cheeso. Cole's great but he's got a lot of growing up to do before I'd like to see him in the Liverpoool shirt. Too selfish, not aware of what's going on around him. Plays entirely to his own stengths and bnever to the strengths of his team-mates. Still on the "maybe" list.    ???

Have to agree with the Chiggz here, when you consider what we ARE playing at Right midfield (Diouf, Murphy, Le Tellac, Cheyrou) I believe Cole to be better than any of these players.

I'm unsure what you mean Woolyback by your comments as you seem to know more than me and i'm confidant your NOT going to disagree with ANYTHING i see for the next 12 hours !!!!!!!!!LOL :D

Cole has talent but he's had that since he was 12! He will never be the player people thought he would be, he gives the bal away far too many times, passing is poor, basically, he's s##t

He's not s##t.  He's not Zidane either, he's a good young player with potential but he needs to sort out his attitude and do some growing up.

I like Cole. I don't know why people question his attitude? Thats just the media talking as Cole seems to be a player the press/pundits like to have a pop at. He hasn't really had a look in at Chelsea this season and is the sort of player who needs to play week in week out.

His last season at West Ham, The lad ran his a#se off to keep them up + he wasn't made captain for nothing. I would like to see a player like Cole (or Malbranque) playing in the middle with Stevie. Don't really see the point in buying a player like Cole and then sticking him out on the right. Just another square peg in a round hole. We need a right mid-fielder to play out on the wing, not another centre-mid or converted striker stuck out of position.

Everyone can see Cole's potential - He needs to be at the right team with the right coaching. I'm not so sure Houllier is that man. We will have to watch this space, i have a feeling he could be in a Liverpool shirt next season.

Cole would be outstanding in central midfield for Liverpool.

Kewell, Cole, Gerrard, Murphy.

Has a nice attacking feel to it with creativety and drive. Plenty of leadership, goals, movement, passing ability, skill, pace, direct play, good technical players.

He would fullfill his massive potential in this team. Especially playing the way we play.

He would be our answer to Paul Scholes i feel. Although he wouldn't score as many goals i think he'd create alot with his vision and flair. He needs a run in a good side. Houllier is know to be an admirer... lets just sit back and hope it happens.

So Coles not good enough is he ? What a  fussy lot you appear to be , content to put up with average palyers like Biscan, Murphy, Cheyrou, Traore , Smicer etc............ but deeming that joe Cole isn't good enough ???  Cole has ability in spades, can playa  variety of positions, has superb skill and would be a n asset to this Liverpool side .

I agree with Scottbot
Joe Cole played like a man possesed in his final season with West ham!
He is very hard working has bags of tricks can play some great balls maybe sometimes they go a stray but he always puts in 100%
Maybe he also doesnt score loads of goals either but i think he makes up for this with the rest of his game!
I think he would be better in the middle of the park and sould form a dangerous and hardworking partnership with stevie g!
Looking around i dont see many better players we can put in the middle!
I would not want t see Hamann play another season in the middle so Bring on cole!

joe cole would be great in the centre of midfield for us alongside gerrard. not out wide where he gets played at chelsea. you saw him last night and he looked completely out of his depth, mainly because he was out on the left.

the fact of the matter is he has bags of skill and can create things out of nothing. at the moment i see EVERYTHING we create coming through steven gerrard. cole to share this responsibility imo.
