Finnan must have had loads on his mind with recent events since xmas time but the lad has been solid and has been the best right back in the premiership barr none. now some good news for him here as well.

No race charge against footballer

Steve Finnan said he was astonished at the allegations
A police investigation has ended into claims a Liverpool footballer racially abusing another player.
Greater Manchester Police acted on complaints from two deaf fans who claimed to read a player's lips on TV.

Last Thursday Liverpool's Steve Finnan, 29, said he was astonished by claims he had racially abused Manchester United's Patrice Evra.

The force said on Monday no further action would be taken following Crown Prosecution Service advice.

The player issued a statement on Liverpool FC's website saying he wanted to set the record straight.

A GMP spokesman said the investigation was complete and the case was closed.

It would be an impossible thing to prove anyway.Honestly,how could they prove anything from the way his lips moved? Finnans name has been dragged through the mud for no reason whatsoever.

Whats the latest on the driving charge? that is the serious one, Name calling won't land you in jail but this one could.

I'd like to point out that they were deaf MANURE fans as well. That instantly halves their credibility.
