What bugs me most about this forum and the main reason why I jacked in being a moderator is how seriously the majority of people take themselves.
This is, after all, a mere internet forum where 99% of people will never meet and for all intents and purposes all we are all doing is replying to segments of text on a screen.
Its long ceased to have any real credibility as a football forum if you ask me, it has its moments but by and large, 95% of posts are not worth reading.
I still get some enjoyment from reading the occasional BigMick or Stu post, but thats two or three posters out of 5000.
I don't have the time myself nowadays to post much so I generally hang about in General Chat, shooting the breeze. Strangely, I find Roberts far more interesting now that the majority of the people in the football pages.
There are some good people on this site - as far as I can relate to people on websites - but what got on my t.its was the moral outrage and precociousness of so many members.
Its a bleedin' football and football supporters forum and it reached its nadir for me when I was lambasted for using the word "retarded" tongue in cheek and having to adjudicate between four or five scraps a day between grown men who should know better.
Jolly Bob Grumbine.

Was it ever a serious football forum JBG? Its always had more than its fair share of jokers and wind up merchants.

I;ve been off work nearly a year with the road accident and then the cancer and spent all that time living on savings. We have got to the point now because we dont know when i will be fit enough for work,we need to cut costs and sky tv and my internet feed are two obvious ones.
We are even putting the house on the market.........
I will be off in the next week or two the cancellation letters have gone out (could be earlier)..?
So i cant say how long i will be off the net......
