hey folks,

what do you think about micoud? couldn't he be the right person to solve some of our problems? micoud is playing a great season with werder bremen. imo he's the main reason that werder will probably win the german championship. recently he even made it back to the french national team.

and finally: he's french! (important point, just in case houiller stays another season ...! :;):

)

believe me, saw many games of him! otherwise bayern munich wouldn't be intersted in signing him!

some stats:

height: 188cm
weight: 82kg

games played this season: 29
goals this season: 9 (no penalty kick!)
assists this season: 8

he was rated as best midfielder of the Bundesliga this season! brilliant technical abilities, can play the 'deadly' pass (would therefore fit nicely to owen!!!)

He is quite old though, nealry 31 so I dunno, haven't seen much of German football this season but know Micoud is a pretty good player, which is validated by his award swiss kopite spoke of.
I think he'd go to Bayern b4 LFC though.

well, you're right about his age but i'm sure he'll play some more seasons on highest level! and maybe you're right and he'll go to bayern but i'd give it at least a try cause i rate him quite high!

bremen isn't the wealthiest club in germany! sports manager allofs said that micoud could leave for a good price. if they sell him now, they get some money, next season he'll leave on a bosman!

if we are gonna get anyone from germany its gonna be young owen hargreaves i reckon, he must wanna come to prem now and he can play along stevie G to boost his chances of playing for england

not sure, france has a lot of quality players. in the last friendly match of france (zidane couldn't play) he was in the startimg 11 ...

could show you some articles about this topic from www.kicker.de but i'm not so sure if many of you guys can read german :;):

here some short statments out of 4 of these articles:
- bayern showing their interest for micoud
- werder manager allofs saying he'd be glad if he stayed, but he could leave for the right price
- article about 'magic micoud' and his plans for the future: he wants to play in a big club (what werder isn't!)
- signs that he has already a offer from a premier league club (isn't named, suppose it's tottenham)

no, he was called back recently for a friendly game.

but as he is 31, he will only get in if several key-midfields are wounded.
