LIVERPOOL VS CHARLTON - time to turn it up a notch

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

We did everything in the game, dominated had 20 attempts on goal, but full credit to the charlton keeper, MOTM for me! he made some unbelievable saves! Kromkamp had a very good game, he went forward tackled and defended superb and whipped in beautiful crosses! Traore was a nightmare! although he had a quite game i always felt he will do a mistake when he gets the ball!!! as for the ref, was :censored:! alot of his decisions where wrong! and FOWLER WAS NOT OFFSIDE, i know cisse was, but did the new offside rule state if a player whose in an offside position but does not interfere with the play considered not offside?! CISSE DID NOT INTERFER WITH THE PLAY! bollox from the ref

I reckon Gerrard should take most if not all of our free kicks, with Hamann or Alonso as our 2nd option. Riise doesn't score goals with free kicks and FFS why let Cisse take the free kick? his shot was wayyyy offline!!!

Give me a break....Cisse did well. He couldn't have done much better with his chances...

He should have played as a striker from the start.

Where are the goals going to come from against Benifica may I ask?

Rafa has to play cisse & crouch...no question about it. Or at least crouch & garcia (for whatever reason cisse doesn't play).....

-We need a pacy striker to get at the end of crouch's knockdown....
-we need a striker to get at the end of crosses fast enuff (only garcia & cisse can do that)

It was really frustrating to watch and that made the deicision of loaning out Pongo more puzzling to me.....For that matter, I'm sure even Mellor would score some of the chances that they were getting....Having confidence in your player is one thing but blind faith is another. Kind of worry for Mori to start the game against Benfica....I prefer to start Crouch and Garcia (No Cisse or Mori please)...

Cisse was offside but the he was a distraction as the ball was always clearly going to Fowler and the keeper wasn't distracted by him either. Even their own backline didn't appeal for offside.

Rafa should of listened to my piece of well constructed 'n' thought up bit of advice. We should of played Hyypia up front, he's a lethal finisher, just remember Juventus at Anfield when the ball swore like an eagle in sky 'n' BANG str8 past Buffon.

when crouch is on the field his strike partner is unafective as we just keep lofting balls forward 2 crouch thats why we aint scoring . E.G u dont see arsenal lofting balls to adebeyor and henry feeding off him we need 2 get it down and pass easpecially when he have got the best passers in the prem on the field gerrard and alonso hu can cut the defence with one pass we need 2 get it down and pass

Well he could have done a little better, he could have scored.

i hate it when people says Cisse did well he put 1 good ball in the box, which found Morientes is his favourite postion, on his back foot, he was so frustrating it was unbelieveable yesterday, we need someone pacy to link up with Crouch but you cant just be fast, you have to be intelligent and make good runs as well as being able to read the game, all the things that Cisse lacks.

Yesterday he stood 3 yards offside, got the ball, and then got all wound up and threw the ball into the ground as if it was a bad decision or someone elses fault.

And when Crouch isnt on the pitch we get into good crossing positions because no one is tempted to play the long ball which is impossible for Crouch to score from, we need to start working the ball into better crossing positions for Crouch to attack, like the ball he should have scored form in the 2nd half from Cisse, there to atack it, not floated on to his head to knock down or to try and generate some power on it himself to have a shot.

In honesty we need Pennant, he would be a fu*king star for us.

no worries there mate. european night are something special.

the atmosphere has die at league game since the seats were put on the kop.

people are have a pint and a bet 2 mins before kick off

a quick rendition of ynwa and wait to be entertained. people are missing the point of going to the match. you see so many people with girlfriend camera and brand new scarf just sit there and wait for goals.

the kemlin aways was quite and the main stand is full of kids, so imo anfield needs the kop to be in full voice or it sounds :censored:.
