What a frustrating half...

Report:

Cisse - started off poorly on the right - not wide enough, but is coming good in the central position.

Kewell - excellent on the left, obviously told to go wide on the right because Cisse wont so he a bit out of his element

Gerrard - brilliant

Traore - I wish they would stop passing him the ball although Reina did at one point put him in a risky position

Fowler - very good when he was up front but when Cisse was moved to CF, someone had to go further back that was Fowler. Hes trying to play like a midfielder but it just doesn't suit him.

Crouch - drawing 2 defenders hes doing a good job.

Hamann - seems indecisive with the ball

Defence - despite some early scares with Traore, defence seems quite strong and very coordinated. Haven't really been tested because the Addicks can't hold on to the ball.

Summary: Eventually they will score, just don't know when. With Gerrard at RCM and Kewell at RM, not sure whose attacking on the left. Maybe Crouch?

Cisse and Fowler should be our strikeforce, they are the biggest threats!

My suspicion is that with Morientes out of the way, we will look much more potent up top.

I don't think we have seen a massive improvement have we?.

I think we're going to win this, because we have Gerrard and that means chances. I keep rating the work Hamman does, he's the one he seems to give some composure. Kewell is having a lively game, but then he hurried too much and gave too many balls away, nice header though.

I don't understand the Kewell experiment on the right of the last 20 mins, he doesn't seem to have a strong right foot. I don't like the game, although I think we'll win.

Edit: Sorry I've read that we're a much better team without Moro and Kewell was excellent. I retire my post *sigh*

I think you're right. We must be playing with a back 3. Id say Rafa has told him to cover for Kewell having to go to the right. Just wish Cisse would stay wide and we wouldn't have this problem. At the start, Charlton's back line was far too shallow to deal with Cisse & Kewell however Kewell was marked well and Cisse never really exploited Spector's inexperience. Now the Addicks defence is a bit deeper now and the midfield is stifling the slower attackers/long range like Gerrard, Crouch and God.

btw cisse seems to be doin well with his chances when he's in the middle, credits to the keeper for denying him ... rafa, put him in the midd pls not on the wing and fowler should be in the box more often than being outside and playing the rooney role

Wouldn't mind signing young Dean Ashton (West Ham).
