I think you made a slight mistake luke, Crouch already has 5 premiership goals. Maybe you pasted Morientes stats on to him.

They might be old stats because I know that two of his premiership goals went to the dubious goals panel and were awarded to him weeks after the match. But that was a while ago now.

Pick Cisse up front. Him and Robbie! We were boring to watch on Sunday because we had boring strikers up front. Try Cisse and Fowler, that'll liven thing up, and it won't just be the usual 1-0 snoozefest!

I thank you and find you views valid Mr Noble, however I just don't want a repeat of the last time we met Charlton.

I'd take 1-0 over 0-2 any day of the week.

I dont think anyone expected that team. Resting Finnan, Riise and Alonso for Benfica. Troare ahead of Warnock after some shaky form.

Kromkamp   Carragher   Hyypia   Traore

Cisse       Hamann       Gerrard    Kewell

                 Fowler       Crouch

Subs

Morientes
Alonso
Riise
Finnan
Dudek

It's a solid starting eleven, I like it. The Crouch - Fowler combination was one I was eager to see. Hope it works!

My suspicion is that with Morientes out of the way, we will look much more potent up top. I too think Fowler will score, maybe more than once with Crouch also getting on the scoresheet. I really hope so otherwise we will have to endure Morientes against Benfica.
