That kept me and my mates laughing all night. It looked so extreme. When one of the Uraguayans started on SWP, Crouch ran in and I can't imagine the phrase "pick on someone your own size" being any more apt.

Look at Crouch's shinguard's, they cover about 25% of his lower leg. :D

I had a good laugh when they were about to get the sub done. Anyway, both of them changed the game. Good for our Crouch. I think if he's getting good supply of crosses definitely he'll keep his scoing tally...

I have never seen Crouchy head a ball as well as he did when he scored for England whilst he has played in a Liverpool shirt.

It makes you ask the question, is it more to do with the quality of the ball we are currently supplying him?  Joe Cole's ball into the box was brilliant, whipped in with curl and pace.  Do we have anyone who can do that?

SWP also played brilliant, and I would love to see him join us oin the summer.  Again the ball he played into Cole for the winning goal was class!
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

Its good to see Crouch showing he's truly a team man. Whether it be for LFC or England, that guy has integrity.

Was there any reason given for his shirt number?

I watched the game on ESPN, only once did the commentators slightly refer to the reception Gary Neville got everytime he tuched the ball. Could hear the crowd and in the closeups you could see them giving it to him but that :censored: Tommy Smyth prattled on about the 3 lions giving him diplomatic immunity at Anfield. The crowd only went quiet when his was given the captains armband. Although I'm pretty sure that was because it was late in the game and noone could be bothered to boo him. Rio had another lazy performance as usual.
