Liverpool have been linked with Chelsea ace Arjen Robben.
Reports originating from the player's homeland claim that the Dutch winger is attracting interest from a number of British clubs following rumours of a bust-up with his manager Jose Mourinho.
Chelsea signed the 21-year-old from PSV in July 2004 in a deal worth up to £12million and he's been one of their most exciting players to date. But with rumours of more friction in the Stamford Bridge dressing room, Robben along with one or two other players could be made available at some point next season.
Manchester United and Tottenham have also been linked with the player. Sir Alex has remained silent on the speculation but Spurs boss Martin Jol publicly admitted at the weekend that he'll make an offer if the player becomes available in January which suggests to us that the player's agent could be making noises to other clubs and that the reports aren't just idle speculation.
We'd love to see him brought in at Anfield but Rafa has already identified options for the wing and sadly, because of a lack of funds, Liverpool can't go out and buy a handful of quality players at the same time which is a real shame because some of the players linked with us recently would really make a difference.
Just like the £16million we should have spent on Owen. It may have been inflated but had we not spent £7million on Crouch, an extra £9million to guarantee Champions League qualification would have been a cheap price to pay. It wouldn't have been madness re-signing St Mike for £16million, what was madness was letting the sh*t run his contract down so low in the first place and then allowing him to leave for £8million. That was madness.

Reports in Italy claim that Inter Milan are tracking Liverpool's John Arne Riise.
The versatile Norwegian international has been an almost permanent fixture on the left since his arrival from Monaco in 2001.
His current deal at Anfield is set to expire in the summer of 2007 and the Italian press suggest that, should contract negotiations fail to start in the next few months, then Inter could be ready to make a move over the course of the summer.
Thursday's newspapers are claiming Liverpool full-back Djimi Traore is on the verge of leaving Anfield.
The 25-year-old was signed by Gerard Houllier in February 1999 and was a member of the Liverpool side that won last year's Champions League final.
However he has struggled to hold down a regular first-team spot and the Daily Mirror reports he is a target for Fulham boss Chris Coleman.
The Daily Record claims he is one of three Liverpool players Vladimir Romanov is keen to take to Hearts.
Romanov is said to be in talks with Liverpool chief executive Rick Parry in the hope of signing Neil Mellor, Anthony Le Tallec and Traore who is valued at around ? million by the Anfield club.
