the only class forward i can think of doubling as a striker is gerrard.

since our strikers really suck at this moment, i agree with some of you lot... we play 5 midfield with one striker in the first 60 minutes or so. Gerrard can be our utility man to assist fowler/crouch in the striking department. Should luck still not be on our side, we need a good supersub and readjust the forward line back to two strikers. We need to pull one midfielder out (hamann or sissoko) and bring in a new fresh pair of legs (cisse or nando). Gerrard would be back on his natural position and we will be back on our natural effective formation.
We need the first 60 minutes to score goals. I am pretty confident that Ronald Koeman will tell his boys to score quickly (1 goal at the most) and defend for the rest of the game.

The first 60 minutes is all we need to break benfica. Come on redssss!!
