Where did I say we have a striker better than RONALDO??

I simply stated why Benítez wouldn't sign him.

Ronaldo is still one of the worlds best.

If you look at the post, you'll see it wasn't you I quoted before.

Yes, but you where insinuating my post was somehwat "bad"....why? what did I say that was wrong?

I was merely stating the facts.

Basically from your post before, you were making out that all Ronaldo does is practically goal hang and wait for the ball to come to him however theres is miles more to his game than that. Ronaldo doesn't just stay on the last man waiting for through balls as he often comes deep to collect the ball and ghosts past opponents to create himself a scoring chance. He can also add a lot to team play and create chances for others.

To say that he just waits around looking for through balls is closer to Michael Owen, not Ronaldo.

Thanks to my trusty patched Technomate satellite receiver I get to watch pretty much any live game of football in the world.

I watch Real Madrid all of the time, and I can honestly say he does do a lot of waiting around.

I absolutely understand why the Madrid fans do not like him all that much.

The waiting around for the bus comment was meant to be exaggerated and slightly funny....Though there is actually some truth to it.

Ask a Madrid fan that watches them week in week out what they think of Ronaldo and they will tell you exactly what I have said.

Oh and I forgot to add.

If your'e going to use Owen as an example, he was FAR FAR FAR more invloved in Madrid's build up play last year than Ronaldo.

Owen was very well liked in his only year there because he gave a lot on the pitch in terms of goals, assists, build up play....

I'd love to Ronaldo at Anfield but I don't think he is the type of person Benitez would go for as he likes the nightlife and all that stuff, fingers crossed though :)

Not only his involvement, his goal ratio per game was higher than Ronaldo's and Raul's one. In fact, Owen was brilliant, he seized all the chances he was given, but... *shrug*

Just went to a Real Madrid forum and am going to copy a quote from someone that actually goes to the games:

QUOTE FROM MADRID FAN:

The truth is that Ronaldo changed Real Madrid style so deeply that even if his performances have been amazing from an individual point of view, he has become a burden for the team, globally. And now that we don't play for him so blindly, he's far from being the best in what's left for him. I would prefer waving him goodbye with a big 'thanks' stuck together, but if he prefers beeing booed until he goes, and then easily forgotten, then it's Ok for me, too.

------------

As you can see, Ronaldo isn't for everybody no matter how much of an awesome striker he is, he has some REALLY bad aspects to him too.

Benítez wouldn't go for him in a million years.

A Real Madrid fan here...and I have to say that Liverpool 4 EVA is totally right...I think he´s an awesome striker, as somebodu has said today, he´s potentially the best striker in the world...but since he got injured when he played for Inter, he hasn´t been the same again...he doesn´t rely on his physical condition and it has made him change his game, he doesn´t take part in team play, so the audience is always seeing him stopped, hands leaning on his waist, seeing the match as the most privileged spectator...although he scored loads of goals (these years it´s not the case anyway)...that kind of actions make the audience angry...above all when when it comes to Bernabeu´s audience, that demands effort (that´s why Gravesen is not the most hated player, lol). In conclusion, I don´t mind if Ronaldo leaves but I wouldn´t like LFC signing him...after all, both are "my" teams...go for Villa!!

No chance.

Ronaldo wouldn't even consider playing for LFC. We wouldn't pay him enough, you see.

It's Sh*tski or another country I reckon for that little penny-pincher.

if he can score 25 goals per season why not? as some members on this forum said, as striker..your job is to score goal..thats why people get on crochie back. he dont score enough goal although he contribute in assist, hold up the ball well. i doubt it rafa will fancy ronaldo in his team coz he's looking for younger and hungry players. special :censored: at the bridge will get hm if ronaldo want to come to prem.

Think your right there Lando . Unless of course the fella has enough cash already and really fancies a crack at the premier league , but like you I don't see it happening .

Sabre is spot on, Ronaldo is class and would definately score goals in the Premiership.
But there is no way we would bring someone in on wages as high as he would be on, and rock the boat with the whole squad especially someone that would command a pretty hefty transfer fee.
It will never happen imo, if Rafa where to surprise us and spend big in the summer it will not be on someone nearing the end of there career with no real value if things were to not work out.
