i do rate him and i think he is one for the future. I think hes got the kind of raw talent that we need and he needs to be coached properly to reach his fullpotential. Hes got good close control and is fast. He also doesnt seem phased by many things so all in all i do rate him... yes :)

Hes a good player. Not class, not a great player. But a good player.

He's very raw and direct and is a player who can change games from the bench. When he reaches his full potential i'd say he'll be quality. Definately worth having and a great squad player.

To me a strikeforce of Owen, Cisse, Baros and Pongolle looks superb. Hopefully Cisse will live up to my expectations.

I believe this guy has good talent, hes very fast and has good feet. Liverpool should hold on to him and I feel he will improve furthur. I want to see Holluier out Baros and Owen up and not Heskey with Owen. He may have a point to prove in the European Championships in Portugal...  ???

I rate Baros, OK he's not quite in the same league as Owen but he makes up for that with verve and appetite for the game. He would've made a much bigger impression this season if he hadn't been injured and had been given a solid run of appearances. Good coaching will improve his finishing an team-awareness. Definitely better than Heskey. Only problem is he & Owen are too similar to play together very well

I do rate him, yes. A direct skilful and committed player who always give 100%. A little over complicates things at times and needs to be more clinical in front of goal. The Czech Republic play him most games off that 8 ft freak and he weighs in with his share of goals. Their real dark horses in the Euro 2004 comp but that said it's probably the most wide open championship in terms of how many teams have the ability to win it for years.

Steve Gerrard Gerrard,
He'll pass the ball 40 yards,
He's quick and he's f*cking hard,

He's sh##e yeah?

Look at his international record ya fruitcake.

Also look at his record last season... 12 goals from 27 starts 14 sub appearances in his FIRST full season in english football and he was only 21 years old.

Hmmm.... yeah garbage.

So what would be your answer then? You think we could get a better third choice striker? You're having a laugh.

He's a useful player with good potential. Not there yet, but offers the team an outlet and is very hard working.

If you can't see the lads a good player you simply don't know your football.

Stu, I totally agree with you. From the start of last season when he got himself in really good shape he has impressed in the games he played. Only wished Houllier will give him a few extra games in this team. This lad has potential...too bad about his injuries this season.

not the finished article but good enough to be in the squad and start more often.

seeing him play at anfield against levski sofia was a joy. On that day he did more on the wing (when he drifted out, especially second half) than kewell (i know kewell scored!) and had chances. There was a buzz around the ground everytime he got the ball. Looked very good running at defenders AND GOING PASSED THEM which is something you can say about few pool players this season - including owen.

problem is that owen apparently prefers to play with heskey. but I'd still keep baros and play him more often.

has a great record for the Czech Republic (i believe it is still 1 goal every two games)

If Baros wasn't good, then who is in EPL?
Henry? OK can you bring him in?
Nistelrooy? can you bring him in?
Shearer? will you bring him in?

If Baros to be let out
Who will bring him in?
I bet you, there'll be a half of EPL clubs are more than happy to jump on him

Be realistic. Stats also tell about his role so far.

It's fortunate to have him, It may be about GH that doesn't know how lucky and correct he was to get him in.

Baros is potenialy the a great striker who could score easily score at least 15 league goals a season if given the chance and the right coaching to aid his development. But is still a bit of way from being the complete player, but still deserves a chance.
