I won't post many new threads, I rather preffer to read all your threads and post my view if I find it's worth of it.

In Spain, we're going to have a serious trouble of racism in the next 20 years. So far, this country has thought of himself that we're not racist, because simply, we knew no other races.

Well, actually we did, but we expelled ALL the Jews and Muslims from Spain some centuries ago, in one of our countless wars. Nobody can say we're cowards because we left from Iraq. Bloody hell, we had wars against France, England, the Otomans (turks) and we ended this ill passion for war entering in state of war with U.S.A. We didn't chicken against the strong guys of the neighbourhood precisely

Back to my point, there's so much ignorance about what racism is in my country. It's a shame.

In the Vicente Calderon, our player Viafara was insulted and chanted racist songs throught out the match. Just because he has a different colour in his Skin. He could hear the sound of monkeys.

in the RS forum has done so. And I'm tired of being one of the few users we flame him for that. I'm quite deadly when I'm talking in Spanish, and I like attacking this things right to the point. And some guys in my forum think I bring troubles because I complain about that.

So this time, I've made a thread in the English section. It's not moderated because usually only me, an middle aged Irish woman another mate, and a Danish fan write there.

I'd like all of you that hate racism, you slate that idiot. I want my mates know what do people of a more culture in democracy thinks about racism.

But do not slate the Irish woman (just in case) , she's antiracist and actually complaining about the tolerance to racism in the forum

slating anyone will not exorcise the racism in them.

The best way i know to fight racism is through sports or some other team work activity.
Players from different backgrounds learn to appreciate and respect each others ability and differences from working together.

Yo may have a point there. But, if you see that racist insults and racism is unnoticed and tolerated in your society, where as for instance, smoking is punnished by many posters. How would you try to convince that society that that attitude is not normal in Europe (tolerance to racism)...

Sabre you've picked the wrong place mate. Racism over here is a one way thing which causes racism in itself. I have a few black and asian friends and even they would back me up on this.

If a white man over here goes into a police station and makes statements against a black man being racist its laughed off.

I could tell you stories that would make you sick and stories that will make you smile about the state this country is in.

By no means do i condone racism, i think to discriminate against someone down to there race alone is a disgrace, however people in this country don't really understand racism and what it means.

This country is in better shape than alot of others in that alot of people see black people, asian people and whatever else near enough everyday, however its along way from perfect. Mainly because the whites in this country are the only racist people...

i'll always remember when i went to college, greenhill in harrow... but renamed by most people there brownhill, not renamed by the whites tho (the whites, that sounds bad, but u know what i mean)

My mates amit, shafik and ahmed refused to go there, as there were too many asians!!!

harrow is very multicultural, and everyone more or less seems to get on, but there is water boiling under if u know what i mean.
Stu made a good point (for once) and it is shown in the media here as well.. the way it works is:

whites attack black or asi- racism
blacks attack whites or asians - mugging
asians attack white or black - just a beating.

everyone can be racist, all colours, sizes and everything, but the scales are never even and it always favours one more than the next, which is a shame but a fact of life

I know England is far from perfect. But it strikes to me that if you look the matter with perspective, lots of advancements in antiracist culture has been done in the last 30 years?

Sabre, this isnt an issue to get into on here mate. The boards bad enough, with people like southcoastshankley around we're asking for trouble starting posts like this.

Ah, ok. I didn't want to insist, it's just that I didn't get exactly what you mean in the previous post, Stu. I do not want causing troubles, as you know. Mods, you can lock this thread. It's true that the boards have too many polemics atm.
